A product called Track Claw works good on racing go-kart tires for making them soft. Maybe look into that.....

I did my surfing ; lots of articles and threads out there - from drag bikes to karts to LS1's .. lots of products, ranging in price, lots of "home recipes" too, most involving paint thinner, xylene, acetone, MEK, whatever

kinda looking for a TD-er (or other high Hp FWD with smallish tires) with some ACTUAL EXPERIENCE !!

;)

thank you for another post WHICH DOES NOT HELP

as you can see in my first post, I am "saving up for Drag Radials" ; being a TD'er and college student, I don't right now have the $127 * 2 + shipping ...

what I do have is a very nice but old pair of Nitto 205/50s that could use some softening ...

thats pretty cheap for drag radials, i paid i think 400$ shipped for mine as mine are an odd size. From what I know about tires, as i spend most of my day in a tire shop, There isnt much u can do to a street tire to make it stick any better. its the compounds in the rubber that make them wear or grip as they do.

Yes, I have actual experience. Did you want current actual experience or will pre-historic experience do? Back in the late 80s I used Formula V Traction on Eagle VRs (or whatever the GLHS tire was) for autocrossing. Seemed to improve times, but I didn't conduct hard science experiments. I've got enough confidence in it that if / when I do another season of autocrossing I'd buy some.

VHT

thats what "track bite" product is.

Bansheenut treats both his drag radials and slicks with it.
