One was Chrysler one was dodge, the laser was more oriented towards luxury the daytona more for performance. Nearly all parts are interchangeable just different option packages. I like the gfx package on the laser then I do on the daytona. My xt is pretty much a turboz except I have leather and ttops.

I often wondered if the Laser weighed more than the Daytona - I don't know why thats in my head - I never looked it up

I wouldn't mind a Laser... Nothing says 80's like leather and T-tops
(EDIT: and gotta install a car-phone)
+ the whole... "A Chrysler what?" reaction from people

^ it does cause usually they had more luxury options that wieghed more.
Just depends on what laser (base or loaded) vs. what daytona(base or loaded z)

Its originally a 383 2 barrel turned into an r/t clone. We got the car less the motor and interior with all the body and paint work. Car now has a 440 6pack with demon 6 shooter carbs, a 727 with a shift kit, and an 8 3/4 in the rear. We did all the work ourselves and its actually my moms car. Its going to Arkansas to be done up as a daytona. We are going to put a lift in our garage for that car, my dads superbird convertible, his 69 roadrunner and the glhs to keep them at home. I am betting my 66 will prolly go to my grandmas which is about 15 minutes away.

your mom's got a 440-6? NICE... that'll get the groceries home in a hurry

becoming a Daytona? Day-um! I know a re-pop nose w/ all the hardware can run the price of a couple nice TD's
You certainly come from a car family. I did a search for superbird converible and found the cardomain page... Nice stuff!

I don't know how big I am on the whole convertible, but which of those are going to be there this weekend? I am hoping to see a few while I am there.

I had this exact car. This is before I even knew what a turbo was. Lucky it had the 5 year 50,000 warranty though.
