If you look at the road view when he started to loose control, it show that the car floats to the right. Looks like he was trying to correct it. Of coarse, at 198 MPH on a really sandy road correcting any skid would show to be a loose situation.
Sounded like the motor blew up. They show him to be pushing 7300 RPM for a LONG time under boost.

Ya I saw things were pretty out of shape, but it looks like he has it under control, then just turns left as if he's going to ditch early, and 100mph must seem like 30 after going 200 or whatever he goes. Dunno...need someone that is multi-lingual.

Looking at it a few more times looks like a tire blew in front with the way the fighting the steering wheel.

Exactly what happened. The story behind all of it was all over a few of the import mags.

Interestingly enough they actually put the car back together! It ins't done up the same way, but it is the same chassis....
