Re: mustang vs any TD

Oh Man, I need to start taking someone to video when we go out. Always punks with 5.0s thinking they're hot. Only one that's beat meat so far was a new Boss 302, but I expected that one.

Re: mustang vs any TD

How about a very old video of my van running at Speedworld Motorplex in AZ, later that night I broke the minivan record for the first time. This was my first run off the trailer against a 5.0

Re: mustang vs any TD

Here's my buddies '05 GT (OR-H pipe, CAI and a tune) vs my Lancer Shelby. The top end of my engine was all ported, TBI cam, S60 turbo. Most of the tire noise was my car fighting for traction. Maxed out 4th gear and let off.

Re: mustang vs any TD

just the usual.. it's like the import guys.. excuses excuses.. or " oo that wouldn't happen if I was driving"..

" see he was kickin that guys butt and then let off, the race was over before it began"...

none of these nimrods have ever messed with cars, V8's or 4 cylinders or anything turbo'd gas.. so there just talkin out of there ass's!

only one person here has a muscle car (2014 gt) and he's only done mild bolt on's. he's the one I can't wait to beat when I get mine back on the road.

couple more weeks and i'll have some good videos for everyone!

Re: mustang vs any TD

lol
if I had any videos of my old turbo'ed turismo against any of the 5.0 mustangs I stumbled across while I had it , all I'd have is some vids of headlights through the back window ... 3-4 lengths back and desperately trying not to get further behind .....

never once did I ever get beat by a 5.0

Re: mustang vs any TD

Here is one from 20 years ago. It was my second GLH Turbo and besides jumping me off the line with his 5.0 five speed and 11 inch slicks he didn't stand much of a chance after 500 feet or so.

Re: mustang vs any TD

Sorry, don't have any sweet vids, but how about an archived C&D article from 1984?? The article actually deals more with the handling aspects of the Camaro Z28, Corvette, Daytona Turbo Z, Mustang SVO, and Fiero 2M4, and even though I've seen TD's stomp 5.0s, I felt the Mustang SVO vs Daytona Turbo Z was a closer apples to apples comparison.
