in both the 3.3/3.8 and the 3.0 sections we have had some guys ask for new names. I think mainly due to Mitsu questions coming here or Chrysler questions coming up in the Mitsu section. how would you guys like the section name " chrysler V6" section?

The only issue i have seen with the section names is that people contemplating swaps that are mostly beyond their ability (as in, if you have to ask, you cant do it) tend to get the dodge 3.5 and 3.8, and the mitsu 3.5 and 3.8, confused.

I personally dont think it really helps to rename the sections in the manner you're describing.

If anything, a sticky/faq entitled "what kind of v6 do i have?" with pics and descriptions to id BOTH the chrysler and mitsu V6s, could be put at the top of EACH v6 forum section. Thats just my .02.

neither section needs renamed or combined. A faq might help those who can't tell one always is broke and the other rarely breaks.

My suggestion, not that it means anything.

In the description below the title, the 3L section says the following.
Quote:
Discussion area for the 3.0 turbo and non-turbo
How about changing that to something like
Quote:
Discussion of the performance aspects of Mitsubishi based 3.0 OHC turbo and non-turbo engines as used in FWD Chrysler vehicles
For the 3.3/3.8 it now says
Quote:
Discussion area for the 3.3 and 3.8 turbo and non-turbo
Change it to mirror the Mitsu description
Quote:
Discussion of the performance aspects of Chrysler based pushrod 3.3 and 3.8 engines as used in FWD Chrysler vehicles

Even though there is a lot of people that like each when it comes to mods. The 604, adding Megasquirt and a turbo. Then mods to the body there isn't much different.

The problem I see is 3.3 and 3.0 people not getting along like stuffing Masi people in the same room with T3 people..... That is why we made them separate to stop the snow ball fights lol.
