I just bought an '05 Srt-4 with low miles and I'm curious what you guys are doing to them? I'm very familiar with TD's I've driven Shelby's for 12 years now. I'm in CA so emissions are a problem. I'm not looking to invest thousands just simple responsive mods that won't compromise the reliability of the car. Let me know.. thanks in advance! --Shaun

I started with K&N drop in filter, then AGP wastegate, then stage 1.
Car had Mopar BOV, short throw and stage 4 clutch-master in when i got it.
I also did the stage 1 vacuum line mod. Car runs a little to good for daily driving. Don't get me wrong cars a beast, but it eggs me on to spirited driving.

Mopar Performance: Performance SRT-4 Stage 1
For the 05 its just a pcm the 03 is the only one that needs upgraded Injectors.
zip tie is to keep all lines from coming off.

well I'm curious... mine doesn't feel all that fast.. it's quick but I wouldn't go as far as "fast." How much did those mods really do for the car?

First thing i'd do is boost leak test your car. My car had a major leak right at the turbo outlet and several other small ones. Napa has T-bolt clamps so I'd get some of those and replace all clamps except the intercooler inlet(I have one on mine but others have issues with them). You can build a boost leak tester for $12, best money you'll spend, just get 12-18" of 2.25" PVC, a 2.25 cap, a 2.25" 90 deg rubber coupler, a valve stem, and for ease a pressure gauge of some sort. If you don't buy a pressure gauge you need someone in the car with the key on to see how much you're pressurizing the system. For mods I'd say stage1, cat. back exhaust, K&N drop in, motor mount inserts(optional), and thats about all untill you can get rid of your cat or get a wideband. Just my opinion on all this but those few mods should net you a seat of the pants increase. Instead of going with mopar staged mods I've gone the alternative route besides a stage1 pcm to get rid of my CEL for no cat. If you want more info pm me or goto srtforums.com but beware some ppl there are very strict about modding routes when there are several options.
FYI: AGP WGA, in my opinion, will decrease driveability due to part throttle boost. I'm not knockin oklamopar's advice because I run one myself its just the driveablility will certainly change.

I did all the bushings, solid motor mounts, and suspension to eliminate any and all wheel hop.

Then I did a cold air intake, stage 1 ecu, forward motion wga, stage 2 injectors, returning fuel system, fpr, bolt on fmic, and 3 in exhuast for a best time of 12.3 @ 110.

I went 12.7 with no fuel work and meth injection.

Hello,
My name is Jeremy. I used to own a 85 dodge shelby 2.2 turbo so I am not totally ignorant when it comes to these cars.. but I've been out of it for a while so I need some help!! I am getting a 2005 dodge neon srt-4 with a stage 2 on it.. I am not even that familiar with stage 2. I see alot of people with these after market waste gates/ boost controlers.. is it worth it and how do you install? Also should I be worried about air/fuel guage if I am gonna start messing with boost?

Let the Stage 2 control the boost, the wheel can lower or raise the boost as the stage 2 with toys has a built in controler.

Just needs a big FMIC, BOV lower lines, stock BOV capped and a CAI and bigger exhaust. More than enough power to run 12s

so improve the engine flow, don't touch the boost.

ok thanks for the info!! But please explain what all this mean?
"big FMIC, BOV lower lines, stock BOV capped and a CAI"

I think it has a blow off valve and a upgrade exhaust already..
what about a msd coil and wires? I have stock..
it also has stock air box.. so gonna get k&N for it..

FMIC-Front mount intercooler, BOV-Blow off valve

Don't get an MSD coil, its garbage, stick with a stock coil. I would get some aftermarket wires (the stock wires tend to get burnt by the heat) get some plugs. A lot of people have success w/ NGK 4306.

As far as getting an intake, I wouldn't, they don't really do all that much for this car in a mostly stock setup like you have (it sounds and looks better). I would get a K&N filter

And if it hasen't been upgraded yet, get a 3" turboback (catted or catless)

Stage 2 runs very rich also, so you may want to look into a piggyback fuel controller (SAFC, Dtec, E-Manage, etc.)

And like has already been said, boost leak test, t-bolt clamps, and zip tie vacuum lines

I hope that was easy to understand
