well to be honest i like doing a lot of stuff myself rather then buying it cause its cheaper in the end. point proven my 95 neon ran a 12.9 and i have less then a grand into it and all the parts mostly came froma a junkyard. it has a 2.5 t1 motor in it and runs 20psi on 110 octane

I think if you buy "newused" you could be under $2k. Biggest savers would be a used mannifold, holset and diy DP. Brian has the gameboy programmer, and I was impressed with what he did with it.

dont get me wrong i love the stage kits from mopar but being that im in the army and have only been in for about a year i dont really make a lot of money. so what i am looking for is the cheapest way to get the most power without risking the chance of blowing the motor sky high

They're not really mentioning it in their thread but the AGP stuff is essentially going to be mail order tunes for different turbochargers that they develop using the SCT software and XCal 2 flasher. For that price you'll get their generic tune that should work a lot better than trying to make a stock computer work but for max safety and power it would still be best to have it fine tuned on a loading dyno to your specific car and then do real world street verification. If you're not local to them you could either try to find a local SCT dealer (and if you want to buy it from AGP and use their tune as a baseline make sure to see if it will be locked out and if you'll be able to have a different local shop modify their tune) or you can buy the Pro Racer package for around $1k that includes the XCal 2 flash unit as well as the dealer Advantage III software locked to your one car and tune for yourself. This thread (and the SCT as well as "Tuning" section over there) has some links and provides more information if you're not familiar with the SCT software and the capabilities.

Yes, we are an sct dealer/tuner for the srt-4. Plus we have a dyno. Since the guy starting the thread is in Houston, it would probably be better once he gets his set-up in the car to just bring it over, and he can get his sct dynotuned for his specific set-up. The SCT is only about $400 and add a couple hundred to put in on the dyno and due some tunes, and he's good to go.
later,
Cindy

i have a friend who just bought an 05 with a stage one. What would be a quick and simple mod to do to it to get the ball rolling on modding it out?

Boost leak test, a full 3" exhaust, then another boost leak test.

You are more then correct by saying it's a quick and simple mod but I would most definitely install an exhaust and intercooler before I put on a wga. Everything will run more efficiently and obviously become more effective in the long run. Keep in mind an exhaust and IC are necessary parts that will eventually need to be installed when building up a F/I car.
