I cannot help much with the performance aspect but I am sure if you open a new thread in the SRT-4/PT Cruiser section you will get the answers you are looking for.
Everything I posted in this thread, torque specs, cylinder head installation, timing belt are the same for a NA and Turbo 2.4L.
Here is the camshaft install procedures.
INSTALLATION CAMSHAFTS
CAUTION: Ensure that NONE of the pistons are at top dead center when installing the camshafts.
Lubricate all camshaft bearing journals, rocker arms and camshaft lobes.
Install all rocker arms in original positions, if reused.
Position camshafts on cylinder head bearing journals. Install right and left camshaft bearing caps No. 2 – 5 and right No. 6. Tighten M6 fasteners to 12 N·m (105 in. lbs.) in sequence shown in (Camshaft Bearing Cap Tightening Sequence).
Apply Mopar® Gasket Maker to No. 1 and No. 6 bearing caps (Camshaft Bearing Cap Sealing). Install bearing caps and tighten M8 fasteners to 28 N·m (250 in. lbs.).
NOTE: Bearing end caps must be installed before seals can be installed.
Install camshaft oil seals (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/CYLINDER HEAD/CAMSHAFT OIL SEAL(S) - INSTALLATION).
Install camshaft target magnet and camshaft position sensor.
Install cylinder head cover (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/CYLINDER HEAD/CYLINDER HEAD COVER - INSTALLATION).
Install timing belt rear cover and camshaft sprockets (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT COVER(S) - INSTALLATION).
Install timing belt (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT AND SPROCKETS - INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION CAMSHAFT OIL SEALS
Shaft seal surface must be free of varnish, dirt or nicks. Polish with 400 grit paper if necessary.
Install camshaft seals into cylinder head using Special Tool MD-998306 until flush with head (Camshaft Seal - Installation).
Install timing belt rear cover (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT COVER(S) - INSTALLATION).
Install camshaft sprockets. Hold each sprocket with Special Tool 6847 and tighten center bolt to 115 N·m (85 ft. lbs.) (Camshaft Sprocket - Removal/Installation).
Install timing belt and front covers (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT AND SPROCKETS - INSTALLATION) (Refer to 9 - ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT COVER(S) - INSTALLATION).
