Take a look at the June edition of HCI (Hot Compact & Imports).

Its usually not a magazine to purchase, as its all rice racing...

...but...

...This issue has featured extensively Cox Mopar SRT-4 drag car, with 2.56L DOHC A853 motor built to 1000hp.

The inside articles feature a ton of info, and lots of neat build ideas, and experience with OEM & A853 parts from Cox.

Also inside Mopar PVO features advertising for new performance parts, including a new turbo for the 2.0/2.4 DOHC motors, to make 300hp.

Very cool!

I have talked the wife into accepting our purchase of an SRT-4 (ok, ok...so I have to accept getting that mini now!).
If anyone knows a dealer in Southern Alberta with SRT-4s, then pleeeeeease let me know.

Regards
Jeremy

Well thats a good thing it does now!

When we first looked at them at the dealer, they only came with the manual-shift-auto.

Unfortunately the PT will only 2 adults up front, and 2 childrens seats in the rear. Now with a third child on the way we have to find a larger vehicle (that is why we passed up purchase of one earlier).

As a result I have capitulated to purchase of a minivan.
In exchange for purchasing a mini, the agreement is to get either a PT Cruiser Turbo or an SRT-4 (as a second daily driver vehicle...mine).
Right now I'm holding out for an SRT-4, but in the short term we'll be getting the mini.

Oh well.
That's the conditions set down by the "boss".
Even though I earn all the money!?!?!
Funny how that happens.

On the bright side I still have the 91 'tona getting built.

I just bought that mag for that article, you beat me to posting it though. The builder thinks the stock block is good for 700hp. wow! now how can I get that into my 92 TD?

As some of the younger folks over on the SRTForums would say " With mad bracket welding skilz" Me, I say if they can cram two turbo engines (note I did not say twin turbo, but two turbo engines) into a Geo Metro, anythings possible.
