Not sure if Chrysler does this, but I now Mitsubishi adds a "small" fee if the car is a good seller. My friend got an OZ rally about 8 months ago, and they added a $2500 consumer interested??, can't remember exactly what is was called, to the total price of the car. Then again the dealer could be just saying that, I remember I test drove one when they first came out and were MSRP $19,995, and the dealers sticker on the window was $24,995?!?!?! Otherwise I would have had one in my driveway right now.

I paid $20,384 for my 04 SRT4 brand new which had a MSRP of $21,690, so I got $1306 OFF sticker. For having the sunroof and viper seats, which will create an MSRP of $21,690, I've never heard of anyone getting one cheaper than I did.
There's usually a few used ones for sale at www.srtforums.com in the buy/sell section.

$21970, or $21790. I don't think you can option an SRT4 to make it come out to $21970. Either way, each option has a specific cost and MSRP value. For instance, the sunroof adds $695 to the MSRP, but only cost the dealer $585. The only way to option an 04 to a MSRP of $21790 is to have viper seats, no sunroof, and the kicker stereo. I don't know the exact cost for the kicker package, but if it's MSRP is $100 more than the sunroof(which it is), I'd say it's cost is probably about $60 more. Dealer invoice on a car with a $21690 MSRP is 20,384. The car you looked at which stickered at $21790 probably had a cost around $20,425 or so. Without knowing what the dealer cost of the kicker package is, it's tough to figure they're exact cost, but I'm sure it is very close to $20,425 if in fact the MSRP was $21790.
