$800 to spend?

some good upgrades include stage 2 with toys but way more than $800
3" exhaust, if short on money get it from the cat back, which is about 80% of your car, and then later you can add the DP. Remember, if you do the downpipe, you may as well change the O2 outlet. That is a tiny 2" outlet, replace with a 3" so you have a full 3" set-up. Boost controller set at 17 psi. Works good with s1 or s2.
You can pick up a used s1 kit with injectors for reasonable sum. If you have an 03, I have my old s1 kit for sale. That with a 3" exhaust and boost controller with be good. Get a BOV block off plate and put in a real bov. Get a better than stock wastegate actuater, or a BIG spring, the wastegate will open at 5 psi, so it needs help.
Other good things, bigger IC, bigger turbo or stage 3 kit.
Good motor mounts. Wheel hop is bad on our cars. Don't get a solid upper, use a decent insert or poly filled. And slicks or really sticky tires, cause traction is an issue. I also like the short throw shifter, and a coilover kit and swaybar kit too, Oh....right only $800 well you get the idea....
later,
Cindy

Yes, the s1 one will work with both, you just won't need the injectors for the 04. I sell mine for $250 w/o injectors. you will have to get it programmed at you local dealer for you vin # though.
Thanks,
Cindy
