01 t/r is a 2.0 sohc and the set is a 2.4 dohc ....so the head is not the same , neither manifold will work ..........gotta have a 2.0/2.4 dohc head to work.

try this forum as well:
http://www.turbododge.com/forums/f39/

that'll give you a lot of info.

But no, the SRT4 manifold/turbo wont bolt to the 01 r/t head. You'd need to swap the head too, and then comes a lot of other work...

If you have a stock, unmolested 2001 R/T, then you have a sohc MAGNUM head, which is a great flowing head by the way. You can get an adapter made that will allow you to use the SRT turbo/manifold and bolt it up to your magnum head. Any competent machine shop in your area could build one. You will need a magnum exhaust manifold gasket and one for an SRT4 exhaust and have them make an adapter to allow them to mate up. The intake side is different, but you can still use the factory magnum intake as it has electronic valves in it and has 8 runners instead of the normal 4 that all other neons have. This actually would be a decent combo, but you will need to use a head shim and thicker head gasket to lower your compression for boost, otherwise you will only be able to run about 7-8 psi max with a good intercooler. And speaking of that, it would be very inexpensive to just buy a used SRT4 one as they are fairly cheap and plentiful and should fit with minimum hassle. Just a little FYI. And if you do decide to just get a dohc head, then sell me your magnum head.

I had ran a guy once who had a 95 2.0L neon with a home made turbo kit on it and it ran very well against my car he was running 8 pounds boost and had no real tunning time on it and was running pig rich no intercooler the motor was stock just turbo strapped on. i cannot tell u how much power u will make but with some tunning that thing should make short work of the stock SRT-4s. i think the non turbo neons have some weak parts u may want to address if u want a durable racer

For durability, you'll want a better clutch (AT LEAST PT clutch, good to 200wtq or so), good motor mounts, PT/TD axle upgrade, and I'd recommend control arm bushings to help with wheel hop.

1st gens with a turbo are a riot. Light, agile, and cheap. My ACR (SRT turbo, 2.4, built bottom end) is an absolute hoot.

Depending on what T3 turbo you have, you should have very little trouble making 220+ whp with a good tune and decent exhaust. I'd suggest not going too far above that mark on the stock bottom end.

I myself would use a thicker cometic head gasket to help lower your compression a tad. From what I have seen, 7-8 psi seems to be about the max you should run on stock bottom end. The stock rods on the sohc 2.0 are fairly weak, much like the LW rods on the older Tl cars. Also make sure you run an intercooler, if not, don't run anymore boost than 5-6 psi or you may very well be looking at a rebuild.
