I don't know if I've ever gotten so much crap for owning a neon (or a 4 cylinder .. maybe it was a combination of both.) Some guy even told me to "get an american car." Uhhhh...

Anyway. PICTURES!!

One of the guys from MNSRT4 (the red, wingless SRT with the large Spearco front-mount -- picture above) got up on the dyno and made more torque than a supercharged Vette. Apparently the guy in the Vette was a little distraught and said he's much rather drive a slow Corvette than a "crappy neon." Ehhhhhh.

MARK, WHERE WERE YOU?!?!? HUH?!?!? HUH?!?!? Yeah........that's what I thought.

All those guys are just jealous that your "Neon" is faster in the quarter mile and autocross track than more than half the cars that are at the show! You always get that, if you don't have a V8 then you're a no buddy and your car shouldn't even be there since it gets better gas milleage as is faster in some cases.

Hey Shay, look at all those blue SRT-4's!

No you didnt, that blue is one bad ass color! I prefer black cars, but blue would be my second choice, followed by silver...

What's sad is we get the same crap at mopar shows from the muscle car crowd. Sad thing is stock for stock, our little "crappy neon" can hand alot of them their butt in the 1/4 and the auto cross.

Anybody that reads Car Craft or Car Craft's web forums would know that a 4 cyl FWD car would not be warmly welcomed by their readership.

I love the blue too. I was going to get black but I fell in love with the Blue when I finally went to test drive one.

And there was only one.... A really nice red GLH-T, pictured below. Not sure who it belonged to.

That's the first thing I thought of.
"Man this guy would start a fist fight at a Scrabble match.."
Anyway, nice cars guys. I wish there was a group that would
actually get together like that around here.
Very nice GLH. I hope my resto project looks like that when complete,
only Silver.

My thoughts exactly, I don't think I would be brave enough to venture to a car craft show in any of my cars. I enjoy reading it more than say, hot rod, but they've embraced the whole fwd hatred mantra over there with zeal rarely seen outside of a circle of robed people with cups of "kool aid".

No kidding.

I would have no issues taking my van to any Hotrod or Car Craft show,
