T3 Heads Value?

I have a T3 head in good shape but it does have a crack near the center coolant plug.Was going to fix it but i lost interest.Just wondering what it was worth.It is complete with cams but the cams are lightly scored.Good candidate for regrinds from lone wolf.Any ideas?

One just sold on ebay for 435 I think. No crack though. Figure 400-machine work

I paid around $300 US for my head, no cams, pulleys or rockers arms.

I should get mine back in a week or two after being welded up and other work done to it. The welding itself is going to run me about $100. It would be more if I wanted to to be ground down and look all nice and pretty; but I'll be happy with a nice bead showing. I'll post a couple pics and if the machinist is open to doing long distance repair work on these heads I'll give out the contact info. I trust him since several other very good machinists in town looked at it and said 'this is your man on getting this done right the first time' in regard to the welding and cam bore repair; he specializes in aluminum head repair. To me it's worth the price premium to have a person that is very good at tig welding do it.

As for the prices... I was in need of money and let one go this past summer for $450, fully rebuilt. I still kick myself for it, seeing how I could've gotten much more out of it but it did get those unexpected bills paid. I'll be picking one up tomorrow for $300. Complete; otherwise unknown condition, if it's cracked I'll certainly be bargaining. Hopefully the cam sensor will come with it too....

cams good go for at least 125 for both. thats about as much as i paid for mine

I have one of the new castings that was up for sale last year. I found that i probably don't need it. It's never been installed and is only the bare head. If anyone is interested in it let me know.
