8v head or 16v head?
This is in the Turbo III forum. Everyone assumes he is makeing these mods to a R/T. Actually they do respond nicely like the SRT4 once you get rid of the stock intercooler.

It will be a little while before I even attempt that. By then things may change. I have a Shelby Lancer to get running first before I sink the bank into the R/T.

Thanks
Yes I got the 10* clip but not the quick spool. Chris at TU said that on the R/T the Turbo spools pretty fast so the effect is not as dramatic as on the 8V head cars.

Good Luck, Steve.

There are other factors that have not been addressed? What size engine? 8v head or 16v head? Why did you clip the wheel? What size A/R Housing? What size swing valve? What kind of calibration?

I was aiming for 300 with my car but now I am aiming for 275. My setup is a 2.5CB, mildly ported 782 head, Lonewolf ported & heat coated Exhaust mani, Heat shields, TO4E 50 trim w/ stg2 .63 A/R 3in SV, and an Air to Water IC. Could I make more the 300hp? Hell yeah I could, but when I don't make those numbers I don't want to feel like I have just thrown away almost $4k these past 8 months. IF I do make 300hp... well then its more then I expected.

Either way, figure how much you know wabout these cars and then look at how many people are actually making the numbers you want. Its not easy to make 300hp in these cars and despite all the crap people talk on this forum there are not that many people here who are making over 300hp.
My goal is 300whp. and I disagree with the statement that the RTs dont respond as well to mods as the srt4s, I think they do, if not better. They make 5hp less on 4psi less boost and .4 of a liter smaller motor. Lotus head owns srt head. I could not believe the difference just exhaust made, it was crazy. And I feel like I have more than just a "few" bolt ons. This motor/head is pretty built. My biggest concern is weather or not the turbo will support the HP goals I have. If I can make 300whp for the 6000+ dollars I have put into this thing since December, your right, I will be extremely disappointed, but thats nothing a new turbo wont fix.
Engine size is a 2.2l, 16v head, Clipped the wheel on advice from Chris at TU, .48A/R (stock), ported and polished swingvalve housing 2.5" and for a cal I have a FWD stage 3 and a stock cal if the need may come up.
As far as my bolt ons, here is my list again.
-K&N air filter
-Magnacore 10mm spark plug wires
-Grainger Valve set for 13-14psi
-2.5" mandrel bent exhaust
-Magnaflow muffler and high flow cat
-S70 turbo from Turbos Unleashed with wheel clip and quick spool option
-Turbo XS RFL BOV
-Accufab AFPR
-Dawes Devices A/F meter
-AutoMeter boost gauge
-PolyBushings.com poly motor mounts
-Solid bobble strut
*Thought I was done for a while then the trans. died...
-FWD performance ceramic 4-puck clutch with HD pp
-rebuilt A568 trans. from FWD Performance
-B&M short throw shifter
**CURRENT BUILD-UP
-Rebuilt shortblock w/ Venolia forged pistons, polished crank, shot peened rods with re-drilled tops, sealed power rings, clevite main and rod bearings, ARP hardware, melling high volume oil pump, Ishara-jonhson windage tray and oil pan baffle, Balance shafts removed.
-LoneWolf performance head with stage one port/polish, radius cut and back-cut valve grind and upgraded FWD performance lifters and cometic mls headgasket.
-LoneWolf performance stage one cams
-LoneWolf performance ported intake manifold
-LoneWolf Performance ported and coated exhaust manifold drilled and tapped for EGT probe.
-Spearco. 1010 CFM front mount intercooler with mandrel bent 2.5" pipeing
-Ported/polished turbine housing
-ported/polished turndown elbow
-3" downpipe dump with electronic cutout valve
-Fidanza light weight flywheel
-FWD Performance 3 bar computer calibraton
-+40% Fuel injectors
-Zeitronix wideband o2 meter with wideband o2, egt, boost, rpm, and tps monitoring and datalogging.
And a few of these will change, I will have a cold air intake made out of my left over intercooler pipe that will be in the nose of the car and I still may get a set of cam gears to top it all off. There are quite a few (maybe even lots of T-3 cars making 300+hp. I just want to know if any of them have done it with the s70. I know it can be done all day with a hybrid, but I dont want a hybrid. I know they are proven to work well, I just want to be different
