Thats what I thought. Isn't the point of buying lowering springs to lower your car? Right now I am considering just putting the stock springs back on there because the front end sat about where I wanted it anyways. The rear needs to come down almost three inches though.

The Eibach set that everybody has was origionally desgined for P-bodies. They have an extra progrssive coil on them that when the car sits on the springs they bind and hold the car up. They also have a slightly higher spring rate than what the obsolete set used to have.

So yes, most of the time if you want to lower the car as well as get better ride and handling, you HAVE to cut the Eibachs. Just don't cut them too much!

There used to be two different models of Eibach springs, part #2804.140 vs part #2801.140.

Now, they only are selling one set for all cars except l-body and minivan. Your springs will need to be cut so you can get the drop you desire.

Even the Eibachs that were for the Daytonas were too high and needed to be cut. They had a different spring rate, but the height ended up the same. I had both sets, both new, at the same time and both would have needed to be cut to get the right height. I ended selling both sets and converting to coilovers. The adjustability alone makes them a much nicer choice, being able to change spring rates is an added bonus.

They're Koni struts with Ground Control coilover conversion parts on the front. The rear is Koni shocks with 8" coils and adjustable spring seats.

Dont know if it qualifys for "fast" status yet. But its running alot better. Need to play with it some more. It was actually a little quicker last night when it was retarding the timing some. I think its way to fat with the m7 jet and the overboost elim set right. I am going to do some playing with the datalogs and possibly some boost tonight. Its running 9.7's a/f and NO active knock! woot So I think I am safe to turn it up some more.

You should have no problems running 16 PSI with your PCM and injectors at that AFR. But still, pound by pound.

with all your mods you should be in the 12's or low 13's....14's are pretty bad with all the stuff you have added. Guess maybe its the altitude also? Nice ride though.......

haha well maybe he will run 13's @ 90mph hitting cutout 800 times

Or stop cutting out and run the times he is capable of.
Pretty sure he wont have that problem this season even though his calibration is still not shipped.

I actually have the +40's in there now. Got tired of swapping them out for the stockers. I just lower the base pressure. Honestly, its got better out of boost drivability than it did with the stockers. I am going to play with the overboost elim alittle untill it leans out a little. It felt faster last night, when I had the cutout set to low, and the computer was only seening 9ish psi, but the car was making 14-15. Glad the meth was on there.
