Awesome work guys. Unfortunately I haven't gotten anywhere with my TIII project. I sent my head/manifolds out for service but they came back since UPS couldn't deliver them, then I found out my 'nice' TIII shortblock has more crankwalk than I'm comfortable with.....so I'm putting the TII back together for my SL so it doesn't sit motionless for the next nine months and that will give me time to build the TIII the way I want.

it's bugging me that no one has updated this progress thread, so I'll keep it going I guess... just getting everything ready to drop in, and pulling out the mock-up block that has the good trans on it..

Not to worry man, lol I was going to tonight. My intercooler is hanging by the top mount and will have the bottom done tonight so I will be updating too.

Yours looks awesome! I thought somthing looked funny with the trans untill I realised it is an auto. duh. lol Just not used to seeing that. That, plus the GRP rods tells me this is going to be a screamer! Nice work

and of course I had to goof off a little and ride this death trap from hell.
No brakes, hand throttle, and the front wheels shake like hell but it was still fun!!

Here is my contribution for the week. After cracking another water pump housing, I had to take it off and wait for a new one. Luckily, I got one with the water pump for 30 bucks on ebay. Saved myself 100 bucks at least on that one. So while I was waiting for that to come in, I mounted the intercooler and ordered the last of the silicone couplers I need and T-bolt clamps. Them and the water pump should be here by the end of the week. Intercooler pluming is going to be a snap. But, pics of that to follow.

Sorry for any HUGE images, it was late and I didnt want to resize.

Intercooler IN!

Top mounting bracket (not pretty, but my first attempt lol)

Bottom support, again not pretty, but it shakes the whole car if you try to move the cooler.

All the extra wiring that I got to stick though the firewall for the Zeitronix Wideband/egt/tps/rpm/boost/userinput stuff, Electronic cut out valve, Oil pressure, and OTC2000 scanner. Plus I ran a few extra just for expansion purposes in the future.

I also have the radiator support bracket done and will have the bracket to hold the rad overflow done by the end of the week as well.
"Possible" test drive next weekend..... If I can avoid the cracked pump housing mod. That one rocks!

Really bad weekend, but I did mangae to get a few things done...

My silicone couplers and T-bolt clamps came so I could finish up the intercooler pipe. It was very simple.

Should be running next weekend!

I'm making some headway with the white IROC. I have all the pieces to put together it's temopary shortblock which is the original a T1 from my Mini.

The original numbers matching short block will need some oversized slugs or a sleve to make the #4 cyl right after it's piston meltdown. I just didn't see the sense of spending the $ now on the engine for it just to go around the block a few times and idle around the yard. Once the original T3 block is corrected, I'll use the tempoary T1 w/T3 internals for my Hybrid build up.

Once I get my antique Briggs back together I'll hop back on the Mopar.

Rick, can you describe what you had to do to use the TI block? I have an '89 2.5L TI in my Omni from a Caravan. It's still SOHC but I would love to put one of my spare TIII heads on it. I have all the sprockets etc...hoping it won't require much more than RickD intake (to clear dist) and custom pistons from FWDP.

Hoping things continue to go right, and I will turn the boost up some this weekend and see how it does. I have some video already done, just not edited. Shouldnt be too much longer.
