Well, I have enough crap gathered together that I better post some pictures of what I have been up to. Here it goes.

Head went out to Lonewolf for the crack to be fixed. Had them rebuild the head, do a "performance" valve job, and tap and plug that hole on the surface. They also just finished up my stage 1 cams. I still think I am going to clean up the ports a little bit, just enough to make them round.

Motor came out running just fine, but I figured it was time for a few upgrades. So I took it over to a local shop.

Forged Venolias
File fit sealed power rings
ARP rod bolts and main studs
Mehling high volume oil pump
Cryo I-Shaft
Removed balance shafts
Brass freze plugs
Radiused all the oil holes
Shot peened rods
Fully balanced and blue printed
Obviously new bearings all throughout

I hope they did it all correctly!

And some more misc stuff. Scored some nice leather seats at the j/y. And figured I better do the wheel bearings while its apart. I have a crap load of stuff in the trunk ready to put back on the car. Just need time!

Think I have enough projects??

I got quite a bit done to my white R/T this weekend (no pics, tho, sorry!).

Finally got my friend to help me lift the head/manifold/turbo all at once onto the motor and started putting everything back into place. All I have left to do is put the timing belt on, fill it with coolant and put the serp belt back on and it's good to start again.

Now to pray it doesn't LEAK!

Nice! My experience with turbo dodges is not if they leak, but where they leak and is it fixable. I have let go of the hope that some day I will drive a td and not smell burning coolant after I park it. Maybe I will get this project done and surprise my self though! Once you get your car running, you can make it down for out Utah meet on the 15th.

15th or the 14th? lol I installed, well had my cut out installed yesterday, and its by far the best thing I bought for this car! Being able to open while sitting next to people in traffic or while racing will make for some priceless looks. It sounds mean when you open it! :head bang: While out for a test drive today, I had a N/A eclipse rev at me. I then opened it and a can of whoop ass for him (on five whole psi) He held so far back he had to have been going 25 mph. lmfao I opened it one more time for him at the next light which resulted in a thumbs up from and a sad attempt at a fast take off by him. lol cut out 1 ricer 0 bwahahahahaha video clip coming soon.

I hope you have your car there! I am avoiding beating on the glh untill after the meet. That way I know for sure I will have a running car! I would feel pretty lame bringing my jeep.

D'oh! Not enough notice, that and I'm still unpacking from swapping houses last month still. Hopefully, we'll be able to set up a meet before the fall comes. I'm planning on making a trip down there to see my good friend from my Stratus group real soon, but I haven't decided when that'll be yet.

Well, I got the car running again (after discovering that my first start attempt failed because the intake cam was turned too far forward by about 45 deg ; still can't figure out how I missed THAT detail ).

And I think I'm gonna have to take it apart again, because it seems to be burning coolant when it warms up. It runs like crap (like it's misfiring), it's only showing 5-8" of vacuum at BEST, something is leaking from the top of the motor on the backside, and the exhaust is poluted with thick white clouds. Oh yeah, and the engine sucks in about 1/3 of my overflow bottle after a few seconds of being shut down.

Maybe it's a good thing I'm not seriously thinking of becoming a mechanic anymore.... oh well, it's not my primary vehicle, so I got time to play around with it, I guess...
