I thought it would be cool to post some pics of my progress, and a couple of board members thought it would be a good idea to have a "progress sticky" for everyone to post thier progress in, so here goes.......

Sooo close to finishing.... Here are some pics. Sorry for the large pics, it was late.

Mocking up the intercooler mounting for the spearco 1010cfm.

Mocking up intercooler pipeing. Its going to be way simple. (2) 90 deg bends that I dont need to cut and (2) 45 deg bends that need to be cut some and some couplers and its done!

Both the pipes will go through where the stock intercooler was, plus the cold air intake pipe will also stick out though here. Any open space will be covered so air goes though the radatior and not around it. The radiator will also be braced.

Look! Its TURBOed again! Be it a baby one! lol

Here is a shot of what it will basically look like when done from the front. I think I will paint the pipe black though.

My friends keep putting tags on my car..... They all think its never going to be done.

Important stuff to watch once running....

My vac block set up. Will be totally hidden under the rad. hose. (The plug on the end is for the Zeitronix's boost sensor). I am really happy with the way it turned out. I will also paint the bronze black once its all up and running.

Here is a pic of the ground wire kit I got from FWD and the vac lines underneath. I like the way the red and black turned out, and its so much less of a mess than it was stock. Ground wire kit fit AWESOME too!

Everything is so close. Next weekend I should be more or less done. I dont think I will be able to drive it, but, to be able to start it will be great! I sooo want to have this thing going for the TD meet on the 19th of may!

Now is where I need some input. I cant decide where to mount the displaly screen for the Zeitronixs. Here are the two options I like the most. Let me know what you guys think.
OPTION #1
I make a little mount for it so it will mount to the top of the steering colum. Even though it may look like it blocks things, it actually blocks nothing important from my line of site.

OPTION #2
I mount it up on top of the dash. Only reason I dont like this, its too obvious. I dont like having the pillar pod, but will because I like to not take my eyes off things. Which is also why I like this spot becasue I can always see it, not just when glancing down at the gauges.

Let me know what you guys think on that, or if you have any sugestions, I am open to them.
Thanks in advance!

nice work! you said thats a small turbo - is it not the stock T-3 turbo? I like the display screen on the top of the dash better, but go with whatever you like best

Thanks alot! Yeah, its a stock T3, well, its got the s70 upgrade done to it. But I feel bad putting it on there knowing its going to be the bottleneck, everything else is going to be begging for boost. That and I have seen Ondonti's turbo in person one to many times!
I am having a hard time with the display thing, I need some input to help make up my mind. Does the gauge pod already give things away and the display being on top wouldnt really make much of a difference is I think my bigest question. Because, I kinda like it on the dash better. It does look nice in the the dash though..... I don't know. lol
I just cant wait to get it running, even if the display is stitting in my lap. lol The laptop will be datalogging the first few drives anyway.
Thanks again!

Its a pain in the butt to look down.
I like where my display is now (even though my car doesnt have a dash)
It was cool in the Spirit where I had it before but not so useful when driving.

Maybe you can work some suction cup thing like they have for radar detectors. Then you dont have to actually mod your dash. When you are going fast you shouldnt be looking at the gauges anyways. The farther you are looking the more dangerous.

Yea I like it on the column, but since you already have a pod putting it in view of other people isnt that big of a deal. Would be no missing it on the dash, just think that it might get kinda annoying having it right there all the time when your just crusing around. The suction cup idea is something to think about, then you could just stick it over in the corner by your other guages.

I think that sounds like a good idea. I am sure there are a few people that are getting them ready to go. I will clean up the thread and move it when I am done messing with the car in a few. Thanks for the idea.

I would say put it on the steerig column for sure! It looks out of place sitting on top like that. Plus, it is a lot more stealthy on the column. Just my opinion though. Looks like your intercooler piping will be pretty close to what I am going to run. Wish I had some progress pictures to post, but I will wait untill I have all my stuff. I did buy a cheap sand blaster to start cleaning up all the filthy parts I have before I put things back together and I have to say that it does wonders on cast aluminum! It was money well spent.

I am kinda leaning that way, but, I am having a hard time deciding. lol I don't think I will spend to much time debating on it right now though, I just want to get the stupid thing running. As far as the piping, its turning out to be alot easier than I thought. I am happy with easy.
Cant wait to see how your stuff comes out with that sand blaster. Now that I am so close to being done, I am wishing I had spend a little more time on the cosmetic stuff, but, thats ok, and new lonewolf fuel rail will top off the red and black nice and then I can work on cleaning up all the extra wiring and make it look nice. Sorry I havent had a chance to call, been way busy with this and changing jobs again.....
Thanks for your input tyler.

Very true, only reason I havent put it there yet, is it does seem out of place, but is very functional. I tried looking into doing it where you had yours, but, I am running out of space around there. lol
