Has anyone ever attempted to make FWDP's 91' R/T TrimCal work in a '92 IROC R/T with modifications of course, I know there is alot of TIII guru's on hear that would at least have some idea of what is necessary to try to presue this option...any ideas? My understanding is the '92 stock alarm interfers, as well as the coil pack wiring and tach wiring is different. Any tips would help

Would love to know an answer to this as well. I no longer have the factory alarm, so hopefully that will make it easier. I would love to run a trim cal. I thought it was just one coil driver wire that was different, but, thats just going off of memory.
Hopefully Jackson will chime in, I am sure he knows the exact differences.

Well I dont know off hand what the exact differences are but im sure it can be done. It really cant be that different and if you had both 91 and 92 FSMs in front of you you could see the differences in the wiring im sure it can be modified to work. If I had spare time I would figure it out myself but I barely have time to search the forums in the summer time:( I do know that I used a 93 Iroc R/T instrument cluster with 91 electronics and the factory tach worked just fine as did the speedo but it showed me the speed sensor code....

I wired my shadow using the diagrams for a 91 R/T, thinking that's what i had. It only fired the plugs on 2 Cylinders, but it did run.

Turns out i had a 92. I only needed to change 1 coil wire from something like pin 18 to 19. I'm pretty sure the tach was the same wire.

If anyone needs them i have diagrams for 91 & 92 Spirit R/T's, along with an 88 Shadow.

Ooo,Ooo,I just figured out the differences! I just got done driving(thrashing) my 93 Iroc R/T with a 91 SBEC running it. Its pretty simple anyone wanna know whats involved.....

P.S. I bet if a stock 91 SBEC works then I bet the trimcal will work also
