Well I thought I would post this. My A/C compressor is leaking and since I am still using R-12 in my system I didn't really want a used one. I would prefer a new or at least a reman. Well we all know they are NS1 from mopar. Well I have been off from work for the last 2 weeks because of a foot injury and have had time to look. I found a compressor that looked like the one on the TIII the only differance in apperance is the clutch is definatly smaller and the plug is differant. I called the company and sent them a picture of my compressor with the numbers on the compressor. They told me the unit I found on their site is the same exact compressor but with differant clutch and plug. I am sending mine to them to rebuild since they don't know with a picture what clutch it uses. (rebuild price $195.00) I also asked them if after receiving mine if they would correct there online look up for these engines. Their look up lists the wrong compressor like every one elses. Their site address is Auto Air Conditioning New Rebuilt A/C Parts AC Compressors Accumulators Driers Expansion Valves. The number of the one I found is SAN078112B or the application is 99 land rover discovery and the 99-02 discovery II. The guy also told me land rover used it on vehicles up intil 2002. I'll let you know how the rebuild goes.

Yes, PLEASE keep us updated. That sounds very interesting. How long is it going to take them to rebuild yours and get it back to you? Thanks. djd.

The A/C compressor is a SANDEN TRF105, I've also heard they were used on '91 - '93 Dodge pickups not sure what size engine.

I have a A/C set-up off an R/T with a rebuilt compressor (I didnt have it rebuilt, previous owner did, but I have recipt) that I would be willing to get rid of for a front set of power stop rotors (11.25") from Cindy and a set of hawk pads. If anyone is interested.

The 93 dodge van does use the sanden TRF-105 compressor but its model number is a 2214 the TIII is model 2216. I just replaced a vans compressor a few weeks ago at work. The clutch is smaller it has 4 mounting bolts instead of 3 and the 2 ports are completely differant.

They said it will take 1 day to turn around once received. We are going into the slow A/C season for most of the country. I hope to get it off this weekend to send off Monday. Getting it off all depends on how my foot feels. It sucks limping around. But the plus side is they are here in Florida and should be a one day trip there and a one day trip back.

Just another update. I didn't get if off for a while then the car ended up with fuel issues. I needed to replace the fuel. Cindy sent the wrong pump to me and I had to wait for the replacement so I had an extra week of my car not running so I popped of the compressor and sent it off this past Monday (10-29). It was back in my hands yesterday (11-2). The only problem I found along the way was it seemed when talking to them at first it seemed like you would get the same person on the phone each time you call and updating the catalog or getting part numbers for the clutch or what not wouldn't be a problem. I found the 3 times I called I got a differant person and would have to start over each time and on the last call just gave up. Even with that the transaction did go smooth.

I got the compressor back on the car last week but haven't charged the system yet since I want to replace the condensor. I did take a picture of the reman compressor before installing it next to a trf105 off a 93 full size van to show you the differances between them. The clutch is smaller the lines hook up differant and the van uses 4 bolts to mount it instead of 3 like the TIII.
