To the guys that have minor or major mods to your TIII's, what combination in your opinion seems to work the best for max power without sacrificing any driveability?

In other words, what setup works best for you?

The setup I ran a couple years ago worked great. Ported head & manifolds. Lonewolf stage 1 cams. 3 bar/+40 cal from FWDP. Hybrid turbo. spearco FMIC. 3" exhaust. 322 whp @22 psi with 180k on the bottom end. The car has been down for 2 years, should be a bit better with a freshened bottom end.

I've been extremely happy with my T3 with the following mods:

+0.020" Forged Venolia Pistons
Lightly ported head
50 trim T04E/T3 0.63A/R hybrid with Stage III turbine wheel
3" V-band Swing Valve and Downpipe w/ Full 3" mandrel bent exhaust
Modified SRT4 FMIC
+20% Injectors w/ AFPR
Alcohol Injection
17 psi boost

The only thing i found with this larger turbo is spoolup time is a bit later (3500 for full boost) so you cant just tip into the throttle at a cruise and expect to have full power immediately. The top end more than makes up for this small sacrifice...A quick downshift and away you go. The car made 320 whp this past July on this setup.

Fort Myers huh not too far from here. I have a stock engine with a 3" exhaust from FWDperformance and stole the 15 psi 2bar cal and +20 injectors out of my other R/T. I just added an AFPR because the cal was a bit rich but haven't fine tuned it yet I waiting on a new walbro fuel pump. Runs good but doesn't like all the hot air down here. once it finally cools down it will like that much better.

To start off with, the best set-up for a TIII is: one with a Head that isn't cracked!
I am happy with my setup now that I have a head that has been weld repaired. I am running basically Stock with exception of Titanium valve spring retainers and ORIGINAL exhaust. Not the fastest R/T out there, but it runs good for stock, and for this car, that is probably where I will try to keep it.
