Is there anyone in or close to Colorado that can rebuild the 16v engines? I've had my Spirit at the shop since May. They were supposed to rebuild the long block after it lost oil pressure. Well, the shop shut down in October, but the owner promised that he would finish the car. He hasn't made any movement (every time I call to see what's going on, there's always an excuse).

If there is any one close, I'll have the car towed to my house, and I'll deliver the long block parts. I'm willing to pay to have it finished.

If I can't find anyone, or get this done in the next few weeks, then I'll need to sell the car as a project.

Thanks!

Shawn, Im over here in Salina, KS. Theres a TD owner Steve in Frederick, CO that had his long block done at my engine builders place in Topeka. I could meet you in say Colby, KS and would be glad to take it to Absoluto Auto Machine in Topeka to build the long block. I'm also PMing you my cell number.

I think you should sell me the car as a project!

Just kidding. Loved the work that Absolute did for me.

Let me know if I can help you out any.

I have the perfect shop for you! Gokey's Automotive INC. 303 922 6374. In Denver CO. The owner, Gary Gokey, has been in the turbo dodge scene for a long time. He even has (or had) NHRA drag records set in a TD. One of the mechanics there even drives a Spirit R/T. I know that Gary use to own a TIII car as well. I had them replace my timing belt on my 89 Shelby Daytona, They did a great job. No problems.

Hope this helps,

Tyler B.

Gokey's shop is closed.

I can build the motor, and I know of a machine shop. BTW, I live in Littleton. And for all you Denver-ites, you should join us on our local forum located on Colorado Neons. There are a few of us on there, and we try to have a few meets a year. We would love to have you all on there

Gokey's is the shop that's had it for 6 months and hasn't done anything with it.

glhman, the machine work is actually all done. I just need the damn thing assembled, and help dropping it into the car.

Steve, if you wanna buy the car, lemme know (:
