also plan on adding a catch can for the pvc system. any tips on the pvc system?

That is basically how I set mine up minus the line going from the compressor cover to the brakebooster stuff. I also have my grainer hooked up to manifold vac.

My catch can set up uses the stock seperator box, then a line to the catch can, then a line to the filter box. If that makes sense.

I just redid mine, here are some pics. I use no catch can though. Stock PCV set-up also. I added a filter and that's all.

bansheenut: thanks, i'll do it how you did it, everything off of the intake. where did you hook up your cruise and heater control line to? will cindys pit pack be enough to run it this way?

bbneon: i know exactly how to strip and just run the basics on a 8 valve, the car i am redoing now is a 16 valve.

I think I did all of my lines with one pit pack from her. I didnt change where my cruise or heater stuff was. If I am remembering right, they run off the brakebooster, so I just left the main brakebooster and plugged the lines that went the the triangle of death. lol

On my vacuum setup, I ran the fpr, map sensor, autometer boost gauge, and my BOV off the vacuum block, and then I ran my boost controler off the turbo nipple. My understanding is that you are less likely to have boost spikes if you keep the vacuum sorce to the g valve as short as possible. Plus the turbo nipple will have the fastest response time to changes in boost/vacuum. TB nipples ar capped.

I am still running the stock manifold to brake booster line, and I run the stock after boost gauge off the aux. vacuum port on the brake booster just because. As for the gas tank, I left the tank vent line hooked up, but all the smaller lines that go to the passenger fender are gone.

91 shelby, black.....ooops the cats out of the bag, lol.

i always ran my grainger off the turbo nipple too, it does seem like the boost will peg faster with minimal spike or creep.
