Got my shifter from Jackson this week.

Nice piece of work, 20min install and works perfect. Shifting is A LOT quicker and more precise. Stay tuned, more updates coming some

NEW TURBO IS HERE AND INSTALLED!

Got this turbo used from Pat at a great price(thanks again Pat). It's a T3/4 Hybrid 50 trim wheel in a .60 a/r housing, stage III exhaust wheel .63 a/r. Turbo came with the DP/WG assembly! WG is a Innovative unit. Got it rebuilt this morning to freshen it up and slapped it on. Didn't go as smooth as plannedhad to take the turbo back off after noticing it had .030 clearance between the solid bobble. Also, couldn't get all the bolts in the DP cause of the tight radius - gotta get some nuts with smaller heads and use studs on three of them. Right now I have a small leak

THIS CAR PULLS LIKE CRAZY NOW I have to adjust my boost controller some because I'm hitting cut-out with my exhaust uncorked. but 3/4 throttle in fourth gear was insane! Turbo lag is just a hair more than my stocker I am very happy with this turbo. Here are some pics!!!

Damn, you work fast! Glad to hear it's on there. As I was reading the trouble you had with the bolts, I remembered that I had trouble getting them off. There weren't studs in there, but the bolts the guy who assembled it used really short bolts. Using studs is a better idea though.

Pulls like a frieght train now I bet! Wait till you get it all dialed in!

LOL, yeah I told you sooner rather than later! I actually thought I was going to have to wait until next week but the guy ended up having all the parts needed for the rebuild. Those bolts/studs are going to be a real PITA! Might have to unwrap it to get them in there. Boost controller should be here this week so, hopefully I can get it dialed in then. The grainger I have now SUCKS. =)

WOW!! Nice!

There's a guy I know that graduated from Riddle that built an old 'Vette like that with his dad for many years(it is now his car). This thing is spectacular! I thought it was one of those kit cars you can buy that replaces the new body with the old one, but it was just the opposite! It was the old body with all new stuff in it! It's basically a C5 now...I think the engine is slightly built. All I can say is that it is one of the cleanest looking cars like that I've ever seen!

CAR BROKE DOWN ON ME FRIDAY

I was on the highway when I noticed my car was down on power, got off and came to a stop, when I went to take off she just died. Would not start back up. Got out and saw that my O2 wires had melted against my DP. I pulled them out but that fixed nada. I could not even get the "check engine" light to come on and the trip computer showed the code F1-1. Fuel pump was not priming, no spark - nothing I had my scanner with me so I hooked it up and could not get any reading from the SBEC at all. I figured I had shorted out my SBEC. Called the tow truck to come pick her up and Cindy to send me another SBEC.

Once I had my car at my buddy's shop, I checked fuses, fusible links, grounds, powers, and could not get her to start. Cindy wasn't able to get my cal shipped "next day" because of the short notice so, I flew from Maryland to Texas to pay her a visit(again). Cindy gave me a socketed board with a stock chip and gave me a stage4 chip to use after I got everything firgured out. Also, picked up a 3bar w/pigtail. I really can't thank Cindy enough for what she did for me, GREAT VENDOR, PERIOD!!! Anyways, got back - changed SBEC - turned the key - NOTHING Wasn't my SBEC! I went test light voltmeter crazy for about 1 hour until I figured out the problem. I wasn't getting any power to the ASD! Check the fusible link that provides power from the battery and it looked fine, after testing it I found looks can be deceiving. The link didn't break like it should but, there was a break underneath the insulation. Fixed it and boom, started right up. I felt like a idiot for a second then remembered, this odd stuff happens and sometimes you miss the most obvious things. The o2 sensor shorted out when it melted and popped the asd relay's fusible link. I know most people extend their wires and run the o2 along the top harness. Lesson learned. I now have heat shielding around my wires, I may eventually run them up top.

Anyway, with that fixed, I pulled my stock SBEC out - cut the board out - put in the board that Cindy gave me with the stage 4 chip - put in my +40's - wired and installed my 3bar - changed my sorry a$$ boost controller. What a difference! My car is FAST, straight up. Raced my buddy's EVO w/3inch exhaust and intake, Good race - AT FIRST. Once i got going there was no catching me, I pulled about 4 cars on him by the top of 4th. That was with stock boost!! I'll be turning the boost up and hitting the dyno soon. Sorry for the long post, hopefully it will help someone in the future. Stay tuned for Videos

Wow...do you have your private pilot licence or something? All I know is that buying a ticket on such short notice to fly is EXPENSIVE!!

Good job on getting her running agian...and spanking that EVO!!

Oh...well that makes sence then! LOL

Off topic, but where did you get your license? I'm not a pilot(engineer), but I got to Embry-Riddle in Daytona...

Well, didn't make it to the dyno or the track this weekend because of transmission issues My transmission has been on the way out since I bought the car and it's finally in NEED of replacement. Leaks a lot and is very hard to shift into any gear now, especially if the revs are up - it doesn't want to come out of gear. Plus theres a hole in the lower bell housing where the previous owner blew the clutch. Anyway, I was wanting to wait until I had money for the quaiffe at the same time but, I can't wait any longer. My power levels have exceeded my clutch levels anyway.

I did have time to make a two-stage boost controller I got a solenoid from the junkyard and wired it up. Closed position goes right thru to the WG with no boost controller so I get whatever the spring is set at(about 11-13lbs). Open position goes through boost controller set to 20+lbs. Boost controller is a Turbotech and I love it! Same concept as grainger but easier to adjust and works better IMHO. Got it from ebay. 2-stage controller works great

Lastly, I had just a screen over my compressor inlet and that was dangerous for a street car. I changed it with a cheapo 3" short filter from Pep Boys and now I'm getting surge. I plan on changing this ASAP. You can see it in the picture.
