when converting an omni to TIII. Where do the 2 ccd bus wires go to? the tIII harness has them and the original 86 omni doesnt. IThey do go into the firewall on the spirit R/T.Im pretty sure it something to do with the diagnostic plug in from doing a search on it. I thought that was in the engine bay near the battery like it was on the 86 (ALDL). the engine diagram says they go to the mini trip computer. What should i do with these 2 wires.

If your not running a trip computer or air bags you simply don't need them. Tape them off or put heat shrink on the end to prevent any shorting.

I had this problem when I put a '91 TI SBEC harness in my Shelby Lancer out of anticipation of a TIII swap this year. The '91 had the CCD bus and the '87 SL did not. I just cut the wires at the bulkhead and insulated them with shrink tube and tucked them in the harness under the loom. Car has always ran great with it that way; no codes or trouble of any kind.
