Good Evening-bought a nice '92 IROC R/T in March and got it home. Car runs great but leaks some, I have been unable to determine where it is coming from. I think I might need to replace the head gasket since I can't find any other source. Before I tear my car apart any other suggestions on what I might check first.

I can see the coolant pooling on both sides on the block. Looked at it on a lift and couldn't isolate it, pressure tested the system and couldn't get it to leak. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to Turbododge.com! And congrats on the RT. The leaking you are talking about is a fairly comon problem. There is a plug on one side of the head that likes to make the gasket not seal.
Here is a good writeup on how to fix it.
TIII Head
Again, welcome. And if you get a minute. Please add you IROC RT to the Registry at the top of the turbo III section. A story of how you got the car, and some pics in there would be awesome.

Thanks for the input. That was what I was afraid of Oh well...I was hoping to bring it to Carlisle this year, but it might not be done in time. I will post some pics when I get some time, it needs a paint job, but has a great interior and no rust. Can't wait to get it all done.

Boost.....

I went to your Photo page and see you have one listed for Johnny Mopar. Just wanted to let you know that I bought it from him a couple of weeks ago. It came with a boat load of extra parts including the stock engine (not in the car). The current engine has some mods and is waiting for a new head gasket (should be in this weekend). I'll drive it for the summer and once winter comes, the work starts. Over the next couple of years it's going to get gutted, new interior, new paint, custom built engine. I'll get pictures along the way and send 'em to you periodically. Thanks!
