Jackson,
Pictures DO NOT do this thing justice! Props on the damn fine work man! Everything about this thing from the custom flange, the seriously custom fasteners, the external dump tube, even the packaging was totally top notch and professional. You should seriously consider going into biz!
Thanks again, you are the MAN!

After the ten minutes it took to get it out. I think anyone could take a lesson from him. lol There was no way this thing was getting hurt. Unless it was dropped from an airplane.

This is the kind of professionalism you get when dealing with Jackson... Custom machined downpipe bolts, mounted to cardboard with specific install instructions.

Awesome!

I am SO happy with the way the external dump tube turned out. Cant wait to hear it!

A final pic of all the stuff going in (minus the Quaife for the trans, its being put in)
I have pics of the turbine wheel and housing to follow. Kind of a before (and soon to be after) pic of the turbine housing getting hogged out. Ondonti feels good about being able to get some extra flow from that housing!
Thanks again, to everyone involved!

Cory, I used studs and nut instead of bolts for two reasons. One they are less prone to seize and 2- they fit a ton better/easier to install and the dump is supported by the studs so its easier to install. Down the road grab some ARP studs with the 12 pt nuts and swap em in.
Lastly, if you dont have a gasket and most dont use it for the flange, get some Loctite 515 gasket eliminator. Be sure the flange is flat, Im sure Jackson was carful welding or surfeced it afterwards, but just dbl check.

Jackson has the flange and everything machined totally flat for me. He even had his guy make a new flange becuase the one I ordered was crap. lol He told me to throw it though the window of whom ever I got it from. lol And he also custom fit and machined the bolts (arp of course) to each fit in a specific spot.

He did put studs on the external WG though. The way he did it, I will be able to put the turbo & manifold in at once, then the downpipe with the the gate/dump assembled to it. It will line up almost perfect with the exhaust cutout. Then after that, Turbo224 has been nice enough to sell me a very nice mandrel bent ss 3" system off his spare RT. Then I can steal the muffler for the shelby. lol
Wallace, thanks for the heads up, not to mention the large amount of help you have been with this project. I will be calling you to pick your brain once I get it on.

If you have a little spare time, send the pipe out here and I will thermal coat it for you..

As for porting the turbine housing. Ondonti sees alot of room for some improvment. There is quite a bit of stuff that can be cleaned up, and alot of stuff that can be opened up a bit. After dealing with stock TD turbine wheels, this thing is huge. lol
Close up of wheel
Huge bump that will be taken out and smoothed. Plus the whole thing can be opened up some.
Lots of thing that can be cleaned up in the scroll. Plus it will be moved back a tiny bit to help flow.
Holset HX40pro Next to Ondonti's Precision T67.

I'd be VERY careful in what I change in a scroll...ESPECIALLY the exhaust side! Flow has an impact, I know, but velocity os what you're after! You start messing around with it too much and you're gonna KILL the spool time! The hot rodder in me always wants to go messing with things, but the engineer in me says...WAIT!!! Maybe it was done that way for a reason!
Just some thoughts...

I totally agree. But, NO engineer would have purposely done it as messy as it was done. Nothing radical will be done that will mess or change flow. Plus, I am not doing any of it. Ondonti is, and he gets these things TONS better than I do. He did an awesome job with my stock RT turbo.
And, not to mention it could stand to loose a little spool time. It was KILLING Wallaces slicks on the track in 1st and 2nd. lol Plus, if it hurts it that bad. Its a good reason to get the bigger housing I have had my eye on.
Thanks for the input!
