So, I trade cars with my BFF(mechanic)so he could give it a good alignment and charge my A/C system. I go to pick it up and he's like, "drives good now, straight as an arrow!". After some small talk, I hop in my car and start heading home. While cruising, I started playing with my new GPS and noticed the top speed reading. It records the top speed of the vehicle and saves it until it is reset. MINE READ 142 MPH I also noticed my "high boost" switch was turned on and I never leave it on. I promptly turned around and headed back to the shop.........

BFF: You forget something?

Me: Yeah, to kick your stupid a$$! "You took my car up to almost 150?!!

BFF: No I didn't(puzzled look on face)

Me: Then who did? My GPS records top speed, take a look....

BFF: Ha ha, that motha is fast, I would have got to 150 but a car was coming up fast! ha ha ha

Me: You idiot, my high boost setting is for race gas or meth injection(had neither), how high did it go?

BFF: About 30

Me: OMG, if my sh$t starts acting up, your rebuilding a new motor for me!

BFF: Yeah yeah, your new clutch holds good!


From now on, NO ONE DRIVES MY CAR!!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE

That stunk. You never know what you are getting into at the shop. You have to be able to trust these people. I expect them to give my car a workout to make sure its fixed but nothing like what you experienced.

Some dumb ass Mechanic took my car around the block and came ripping down the street, I was pissed to high hell as I was turning up the boost. So now when it goes in for any work I pull the wastegate arm or at least run a direct line to the wastegate.
