Are you not listening to wallace

Call the guy, at the number in the above post, and talk to him/send him your head! Hopefully he can fix it(unless the current shop welded or melted it beyond repair). Your asking for help and receiving good info back but, your not following it This is not a head/car that a normal shop can fix properly. Most likely you will have to send it out to get fixed.

Also, there is a guy on here parting out a spirit r/t and a iroc r/t. IIRC, he still has the heads, but they will cost you........PARTING OUT 1992 IROC R/T+91 spirit r/t

once again....

Absolute Auto Machine 785-266-5831- Steve

He does all my machine work, he has fixed probably 2 dozen of these over the last 2 years. IMO, he's great at what he does and is a super guy to deal with. You're only out a few $$ to UPS it, heck it costs that much to drive across town to have it done locally.

I want to see a pic of this supposedly "junk" head. Can you please at least post one so one of us can see how bad it really is....

I am really confused as to why everyone (except a few of us) think a cracked t3 head is the end of the world. MANY are driven all the time with no problem other than a little puddle of coolant in the spark plug valley. Not to mention, they can, and have been fixed. Listen to Lotashelbys, and Mopar2ya. They have been there, done that. They could probably tell you each and every nut, bolt and blah blah blah on your car. They are T3 gurus!
Please keep us updated!

I hope this guy doesn't panic and dump the car.

But if you do, I'll take the o/head console, spare tire and jack assy...lol

Seriously though, I am in the same boat as you are. My head is cracked yet I noticed it AFTER I drove the car over 600miles from N.C. Tell your shop you found someone who will repair it. Send it out, get it repaired and then have your shop put everything back together again.

And remember to set the timing belt tension at 95 ft-lbs and to have it re-checked regularly...

All of the plugs for both heads are threaded. All long as they have some type of sealant on threads you sould be ok. Oil in the valley means you have leaky valvecover gaskets. If the core plugs are leaking you will have coolant in the valley.
