dont know where this problem came from but i guess i'l start with today. I come outside and start the car up and find a massive fuel leak near the fuel filter under the car. so i tighten it and it stops. i procede to mae a catch can and install it and take it for a ride. Damn car is running lean, isnt making any fuel as soon as it goes into boost. i drive and pick up a fuel filter, lines and clamps and replace since its at least 2 years old or more. clear any codes for a hell of it and i took the car out. Still going lean in boost, isnt giving me anything more than high 14s in boost on the WBO2 in the car. what the heck is going on? the 22 walbro in car is 1 yr 10 months old, just installed a fuel rail from FWDp in the car last week. drove the car fine at the track on friday night. now cant even boost the car. prior to changing the rail everything was great. had a slight problem similar to this on thursday night prior to racing that i thought i resolved because it performed fine at the track but back to fuel starvation it seems in boost.

Few quick questions. Does the car have proper fuel pressure at the regulator. From there you could tell if the problem is before the FPR or after it in the rail. What did you do to fix it last time?

are you running devils own progressive controller? If so, were are you tapped into the map line at?
I had/have this same problem with my r/t after I hooked up my Alky. I ran my power from the battery to a relay and switch and then to ground. I tapped into the map from my stock connector since I left it there in case I want to go back to stock. When I have the alky on (relay powered) the car run perfect in boost, when I have the alky off (relay off) as soon as I go into boost the car starts leaning out, just like yours. Switch the relay back on and the car runs perfect in boost. So, i turned the alky off and took the line off the map and ran it.....car ran perfect in boost. It seems as though if you tap into the same map line that the computer reads and the Alky controller doesn't have power - the controller interferes with the signal. I think I will eventually run another map for the alky. You migth want to check this out.

^^I've NOT had this issue. I actually tune specifically WITHOUT the alky so that I know my fuel is right. I only use the alky as a knock retardent and a charge air cooler, NOT fuel.
Maybe it's an R/T issue?

afpr is an accufab and i cant check the pressure at the minute because a certain vendor doesnt believe a fuel rail needs a shraider valve on it at all, was 55lbs with the line off when i checked it about 2 months ago with the factory rail in place. i pulled the rail apart last week i thought maybe it got clogged or something, i did last when it felt like it was starving and it was fine after. my alki is working properly since day 1 comes on when its programmed to , havent had any issue with the way it was hooked up and it was hooked into it couple months back. im not using the alki injection as fuel either, tune gas then added alki and tweaked it it really didnt need much

i had this problem too. and it didn't happen until the devils own went in. after a few weeks my map signal got weaker. before the devils own the car would run 10.5:1 @25psi, now i'm lucky to be into the mid 11's when even when the controller is turned off. i got another 3bar off of my friend yesterday, when i put it in the map readings at 25psi went from 4.14(roughly with the old map) to 4.51(with the new map). not sure what is going on here with the cars, but i am pulling the alky signal off of the main map and using the old map just for the alky controller.

im getting a cheap gauge today and i have a spare 3 bar just to the hell il plug in and see if thats the problem. its like it sees boost and forgets to the fuel i guess i could unplug the devils own after i swap maps and see without it first if its making the fuel. what are you running a second map? if so how

Xtreme, for a quik check, just cut or unsolder/unwrap the signal wire from the alky off your map line. Leave everything else the same, you just want to have your map wire from the computer untapped to test it. If it works then you know, that easy.
Reaper1, I never said in my post that I tuned my car with alky as a fuel. I had my alky setup with my two stage boost controller. When i was in low boost mode (14lbs) the alky would be off and when in high boost (25lbs) the alky would be on for detonation suppression and charge air cooler. But, when I turned the alky off and tried to run low boost - as soon as it started building boost, the a/f dropped to 14:1. I couldn't run any boost without leaning out. turn the alky and boost soleniod back on and I could run up to 25lbs with great 11.5:1 ratio. I am going to run a second map soon, for now the alky and high boost stays on and i control the boost with my right foot
Extreme, the Devilsown controller has a 5v power wire to run a second map independent from your stock map. you just run this 5v power to your second map sensor, ground the map sensor and run the signal wire from the map to the Alky controller. "T" the vacuum/boost line from your stock map to the second map sensor or run a new line from the intake mani to the new map.

Rob, are you saying that you were able to run your car to 25psi on pump gas and no alky before and have a 10.5:1 a/f ratio ? I wasn't able to get my car past around 19-20psi cause I would start getting KR. With race gas I could but not pump with-out alky. I don't think the alky controller damages the map signal from the map, I think it interferes with it if the alky is tapped into it and off. Who knows though

You guys need to get a gauge hooked up into you fuel system even if you have to splice into the lines, without knowing the fuel pressure everything else is just pure speculation

i had no reason to believe my fuel was off, it was set before i swapped to a rail with no gauge or valve on it. our vendors dont beleive you need a way to test it and sell no gauge with, its extra and no shraider valve, she said its easier for me to install it if i think i need one. so i guess shraider valves can be had at the local hardware store and drilling and tapping a brand new billet rail is completely simple. so im buying a gauge or an least a fuel pressure testor today to see i dont think thats the problem by threading it into the end of the rail, i think its computer related, i wouldnt be surprised if the map is playing games, but walbros are known to not last a long time and get funny

i mix about 5 gallons of 110 in with each tank of gas. 10.5 ratio was without alky and no knock. things have changed for the worse though since the alky has been put on and now even without the alky on i'm having problems. but like i said, everything was good up until that point.
jim34-i have a fuel pressure gauge in my car, and all looks good with it. plugs are all consistent so i know i don't have a bad injector also. i've been trying to diagnose this problem for a little over a week now and can't figure out. i have pretty much checked everything i can think of.
