Interested in getting feedback on it before I buy one.
Thanks...

Looks like my car will be all done today and I'll be heading to Philly to pick it up. I had the following done:

Replaced cracked head with rebuilt head, welded by Star Machine. Had titanium retainers installed and the rear oil hole plugged. New Cometic MLS headgasket and ARP studs.

New BOV vented to atmosphere. New front rotors. Pillar pod with an AEM wide band O2 meter. Autometer boost gauge. AccuFab AFPR. SS turbo lines. Had the vacuum lines cleaned up and g-valve installed.

Can't wait to get IT dynoed and out for a track run...

No track for me this week. Too much driving for one day.

The car is running way better than before. It still pulls strong but it seems to be under control now. Boost is set at 14psi with a g-valve and it comes on quickly. Took it out with Brian for a run and it actually spun the tires going 1st to 2nd, which it hadn't done before. On the drive home it was still pulling hard at 120.

Once on the dyno I'll see if i can bump the boost to 15psi. Then in the spring I'll install a FMIC, vacuum block and anything else I may want/need at the time...

Congrats on getting her back! One suggestion, put a spring on the wastegate arm to help hold it shut at higher than stock boost levels. You will be amazed at what you pick up.
Keep up the good work, and please keep us updated.

I'll definitely get to the track but, before I do, I've gotta practice my 3rd-to-4th shift...

whats there to practice?, you do like Rx said , Straight down. mine had a bad selector for a while and i had to hope and pray it went, couple times just grind and no gear, but i fixed that last time the trans was out, nice to have a trans that shifts somewhat properly and my shift light works nice too
