I recently installed a Quickor threaded bobble strut and I was wondering which direction the engine should be preloaded. I installed the strut with the overall length being just long enough to insert the bolt that connects to the frame. With the top bolt of the bracket being barely screwed in. This way when I screwed in the bolts on the bracket that connects to the block the engine would be pulled downward a bit. Is this the correct direction or load I should be putting on the motor? Should the motor be pushed up? I would appreciate any comments.

I would think that you want to push the motor forward. So when you launch the motor can't rock back as far.
