Here's a close up of the "lifter" side of the intake rockers on my engine. Notice the "tip" in the center of the shot...it's missing it's plastic retainer. Luckily my engine is only missing 2 of these tip retainers. It's a real PITA to assemble the rocker shafts to the head w/o them.

Here's a pic of my engine w/the head sitting on it and the cam sprockets in place. It's far from finished. Ordered my new crank today w/bearings. Now all I need is the oil pump, rings and T3/Mopar only gaskets.

I still have a lot of bead blasting and refinishing to do to the nuts, bolts, brackets etc.

Your looking good on the parts inventory so far. Now the only thing I haven't seen is a vacuum harness. I'm hoping there is something in the trunk or I just didn't see it in the pictures. And throw the service manual you have in the trash and call Dymet and get the Chrysler service manuals for this car. Don't worry, it'll all come together."thumbs up

The vacuum harness is under the hood along with the A/C parts and tranny. The bonehead that pulled the engine and took it apart should be shot. He pulled the engine without pulling the axles. I'll need a new passenger side axle. Alabama Man can help me there. :big grin: There is also a brand new valve cover valley cover or whatever you call that thing. How much is a Chrysler service manual for this car? Is it pretty much in depth?

I believe X in your first pic is the crank sensor. Looks like a labor of love...or hate. :-)

Yes it is a bit of a PITA, but Ed Peters told me a trick to make it relatively easy. Use some heavy grease to hold the tip in place. The grease will dissolve when the engine gets hot. I did use the trick and it does work. Kind of miss my RT, but do not miss being left high and dry 100 miles from home. Too bad. Now I could have one as I do not travel on the job by car much any more.

Yep, I hear you on that one. I just got fed up with mine the last year I owned it, that I just about gave it away.
