How Hard is it to put a Lotus 16v head from a Sprit R/T or Daytona IROC R/T onto a 89 CSX VNT? Would it be eaiser compaired to a Neon DOHC setup? I just wanna know what my opions are.

well you would need computer and wiring from the r/t.then you gota splice all wires and make the harness work in the shadow.you also need the 568 because the crank sensor.you also need t3 pistons.and i know there is more but i cant remeber.the 2.4 dohc might be a little more work but is alot cheaper i would go with the 2.4 if i were you.i got 2 dohc from a stratus.and i had a t3 but i sold it i would rather use the stratus

Would the maserati head be a direct bolt on? It seems easier. There is a TC by maserati for sale near my house, the engine is the only usable part, the body and interior is tore up. Is that a better/eaiser idea?

they all bolt up yopu just need alot of moding to make it work.i think you need to do the same with the wiring harness.but the masi is hard to get parts for.you would also need the masi pistons and the head to make it work.i would say just do the 2.4 dohc swap its alot cheaper

The wiring isn't too far off - don't forget, 89 CSX VNTs came with SBEC, not SMEC (as all other 89 cars did). The two plugs for the distributor look an awful lot like the plugs for the cam sensor and crank sensor ... 4 injector circuits for the sequential fuel injection ...
