Must have not allowed for break in period. Ya don't drag race a new motor. I'll have to get back on the vin's later with you. Work comes early and its late. Till later today, goodnight.

ok,whenever your ready.it was the tension on the belt that fried it,theres 3 people who had i-shaft failures all within 30 miles due to belt tension on here and a long thread on it

Ya factory sunroof Daytonas have a twist up knob. If you dont have the letters GWB on your body tag its not a factory sunroof car. PM me your VIN when you get time. I might already have it as me and another guy have been slowly working on a database that has options breakdown of all 431 Iroc R/Ts so everyone knows how many of each are really out there. I have quite a few 92s already.

oh you cant drag a new engine with out blowing it up must not have put it togheter right. I have been building roundy round motor with my uncle for about 8 years now I know it a differant caliber of build but we never break them in just put it toghether and race. the only one I have had come apart was the one I left a rod cap lose on. you dont forget a 2cnd time at 10g an engine.

oh and I was just messing with you I know for a dd you need to do a little breaking in to keep the dang thing all in one peice.

Just saying sometimes its good to allow for a little settle and seat time. Seals, bearings, gaskets, etc, before throwing the torque to er'. Street cars aren't running wide open all the time. You build it, run it how ya want. I prefer break in.

So on a few of the other threads it says incorrect tension shears the teeth on the intermediate. So your kinda getting a push, pull ,lash, effect instead of the smooth gear mesh.

Generally looking at belt layout, wouldn't another idler on the front portion of the belt calm down some of the lash at looser tensions. Has anyone tried that?
