if you use the header and external wastegate, extra the VNT can't overboost no matter how much exhaust flow.

this was my old vnt setup
full rebuild .20 over
new vnt turbo
fwdp stage 3 cal(16lbs)
+ 20's
2.5 exhaust/no cat/performance exhaust
2.5 mandrel bent aluminum piping
srt fmic
bov
2.5 CAI
With this setup I would spike to 20-22 lbs and settle at about 18 in the higher gears.

In case anyone cares, I just got my T-28 VNT back from FWD, looks awsome-like new. She used my old one for the upgrade. I want to put it together and try it, but the car is pretty beat up as far as missing spoilage and the interior is rough. I don't know whether to spend the money, or just sell it so someone else can give it a shot. So far so good Ironbird, nice setup!

Like with the GTs, does going from a T25 to a T28 mean more exhaust side like a GT 28 to a GT 30? Or is a compressor side size increase?

^^^pretty sure it is the compressor side. With the T-28 they machine the compressor housing larger to allow a bigger wheel.Ciny has got some good dyno #'s with her set up with the T-28 upgrade.

ok fired it up tonight but after 20 seconds of running I had no oil pressure.Balance shafts have been removed and oil hole was plugged.New high flow oil pump was installed too.Top end is very noisy due to the new lifters but I thought that would go away quickly.I think my mechanical pressure guage is toast.i'll have to try again tomorrow.Shouldn't I get oil pressure right away even if lifters are dry??

Sounds like something is wrong. Mine only clattered for a few seconds after having the top end off and installing a new head.

well its going to be awhile now before I get it running because the rings are shot now after putting everything back together.went for a test drive and spun the tires in first gear and half of second and was a little dissapointed because performance felt no different so when I got home I did a compression check.results were 30-60-72-72 and timing is all good so as soon as I move into my new house the engine is coming out for the fourth time and finally getting forged pistons and should be good to go.Very stressfull but got to much into her now to give up so this winter she will be done for sure.
