wondering if anyone has a vnt S-60 they wan't to sell.I know there hard to come by and I've tried to contact different turbo shops about building one and I can't seem to have any luck.So if someone has a used or new one for sale I would be interested in buying it.I would like to keep the daytona a vnt but if I can't find a vnt S-60 then I'm just going to do a S-60 T-2 setup.

How are the S60VNT's made? What VNT turbine side to they start with?

I'd love an s60VNT myself. I'm looking to put in to the engine about 26lbs boost and this comes out to about 441CFM it needs to produce at 5000RPM.

I just sent my new vnt turbo to TEC to have it made into a vnt-62.Jason there told me they mate a t-3 compressor housing to the vnt exhaust compressor using an adapter plate and put in a 62 trim wheel.Depending on your application it is good for 340hp@15 psi.I'll try to post some pics when I get it back in about a month.

I am by no means the end-all-be-all of VNT's, but I've had a bit of experience with them. Having owned a S-60 VNT, I'll tell you that you'll definitely go WAY faster than stock, but there is no way in hell that turbine wheel is gonna get to 340hp. The power levels needed would put out a lot of heat, not to mention the psi you'd need to get to that point. Think about it; TIII's, which make a bit more power stock vs stock could probably put out that much at 15psi, when modified, but not an 8v. Don't take this as an insult or gospel, just from my experience, I could reasonable see a good 280-290-ish with other supporting parts and a bit more higher psi. But you'll enjoy it, trust me.

So what all do you need to support a vnt s60? +40's? RRR and an AFPR? Custom cal? I know there's more than one way to skin a cat or raise the boost, but which worked for you? Also, where do you get an s60 vnt? Anyone have a link for TEC?

I bought mine from a member here a while ago. It went into my GLH that had a VNT motor in it. Along with the S60 VNT, I switched to a 2.5l motor (stock), +40's, afpr, STOCK VNT computer, 3" exhaust, and egt, boost, air/fuel gauges. I never dynoed it, but I know it was enough to hold off a few cars, including a highway run with a BMW M3 that eventually blew up the motor (stayed on it too long, went lean on number one piston).

Try this link and see if it works Turbo Engineering Corporation offers sales and service of original equipment and aftermarket turbochargers

Just my opinion, the first two mods you can do to get this thing going are a good intercooler and at least a 2.5" exhaust (obviously you'll need a supporting cast of an afpr etc, but I don't consider those power adders). Just these two things alone will wake it up a lot. Now, if you're really good at welding or know someone that is, get a bigger or "less" restrictive swingvalve made. Even on a stock head you'll be able to really move with those two.

Hey Will, here is a link to my car and its set up http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2597061
Do you think this will work ok with the new turbo using the cal and just +20's??After I pay for the turbo I planned on getting the head, exhaust and intake ported with 52mm throttlebody + afpr with billet rail and fuel pump.Let me know what you think

Ok i have had a few of these cars with a vnts and i would like to know how you are getting a biggier ex wheel in there. I just put a new vnt turbo on my 89 csx with a tc motor & 568 trans will be done next week. I will be at the mopar nats with it, made it look like a stock pice for the car. I need to see pics on this ex side of the s62 vnt turbo.

I think the exhaust wheel and housing stay the same. All they do is put on a t-3 compressor housing with a 62 trim wheel and mate the two together with an adapter plate.

That's just about how mine was made. It did the job though, especially with a 2.5l engine.

Here's a crazy thought.

Take one of the newer VNT turbo's and figure out a way to mate the Chrysler exhaust housing to it.

Bolt on new, most likely bigger, VNT?

Just a thought, I'm no engineer so I have no idea if its even possible.
