Alrighty, I've got a wierd bugger. I just replaced the fuel pump, after checking for the initial spike of voltage to the pump when the key is turned to "on." I got a spike, but no joy at the pump... Well, a couple of times before the pump took a dump, I had a situation happen where while under wide open throttle (after easing up to about 3k rpms without boost), the car would shut down, and not start up or keep running unless I turned the key off and then back to run. This has happened once since replacing the pump. The connections at the pump were fine, so I don't think they are the culprit. I'm also unsure why the pump could be shutting off under load. I checked the codes, and honestly can't remember what I got. I'll be disconnecting the battery, and then driving the snot out of it to see if anything pops up. The check engine light hasn't come on while driving by the way...
From what I've read, this doesn't exactly sound like overboost in a vnt'd car, but I have no idea.
Also, I'll be running over the vacuum lines with a fine tooth comb (replacing them all with a vacuum block and new silicone lines in the NEAR future) and this nifty vacuum leak detector I picked up a long time ago and just realized I still had...
Any ideas or suggestions?

Just off the top of my head it sounds like it may be HEP related. If the controller loses the signal from the Hep ASD will be shut down and you will lose Fuel Pump,Ign Coil and Injectors. With the engine running wiggle and slighty pull on the wires exiting the distributor and the connector to see if you can simulate the condition.
If you cannot simulate you may want to take a Test Light and a helper along on your test ride,if the symptom occurs safely pull over without restarting or turning the key off and see if you have power at the + side of the coil and injector harness DG/BK wire while cranking. If there is not that will verify the ASD has shut down.
