VNT = Variable Nozzle Turbo. The turbo uses a nozzle ring and the pitch of the nozzles is computer controlled. The advantage according to Chrysler is that it cut "Lag Time" from a standing start to full boost from 4.6 seconds in 89 T2 to 2.3 seconds. The VNT is a T4.

Quoted by LebaRoman
"It's a Variable Nozzle Turbo developed by Garrett in late 80s. Uses a system a variable vanes to control exhaust flow, to allow fast spool and good high rpm flow. It was used by Carrol Shelby on his Shelby Charger." in less than 2.2 seconds.
