I have seen/heard of people who install MBC's on their VNT cars/apps. How is this accomplished in relation to the two ports on the actuator? Does it affect the solenoids or throw codes? Thanks again for all your help.

Doesn't seem like the VNT section is very active.

You know, thats kind of what i was thinking. What would be cool is some kind of electric switch setup that operated a single/dual vacuum source for the nipple that adjusts the vanes to the max flow-closed position. Run a 3 way switch/solenoid that you could fiddle with manually, and either let the computer control boost, or set it up to apply or deny vacuum based on how the user wants the VNT to be controlled. I think i'm going to play around this weekend and see what I can come up with. I wouldn't mind learning something new about it at the very least.

I just started a thread here:

VNT on non-VNT car? (w/ pic)

In it I posted a diagram we can use as a template. Let's see what we can come up with.

I set up a VNT on my car. Grainger on the top nipple, mani vac to bottom nipple with a vented check valve. Vented check valves are found on blow thru T1 cars before the BOV. Unfornately my VNT leaked oil into the intercooler so it was back to the T3 for me.
