These babies have been unobtainable for 10 or more years now.I kinda rigged one up on a lathe out of solid aluminum years ago but never liked how it fit. Since I never actually had a drainback tube to copy, I was wondering if someone could post a pic and a few dimensions of one to copy. I am really interested in the overall tube length, its ID and OD and if its bent or straight or what? I am really not equipped to go into limited production, but I could build a few if I can build it easy, cheap and accurate, any help would be vastly appreciated.

Which tube are you referring to?
I only had the head and turbo out once(1 1/2 years ago) and all I seem to remember was a straight nipple on the turbo and one on the block with an oil/heat resistant hose in the middle.
Seem to remember the hose being a PITA to get back on.

I have asked Cindy at fwd performance before no luck there. I found a pic of what I need, If anyone can get me the pipe ID and OD where it meets the turbo, I can probably fudge the rest.

man was this a PITA on my VW TDI. I used a custom drain back fitting that I made for a K04 turbo which has two holes. I found an rubber o-ring that fit snuggly inside the turbo fitting and then bolted it down tight with one bolt. It holds the oil pressure no problem. But, I had oil coming out the exhaust. Too much restriction and too much pressure. So, I made a restrictor for the feed line and still oil out the exhaust. So, I tried the stock VW fitting since the fitting I had made could not be modified. Still too much restriction. So, I made a new pipe with 1/2" ID and still oil but not as bad. And finally I made one with 5/8" hose and all is good.

Garrett sent me the layout print for the stock turbo fitting, but what I have for now will work. If anyone needs the print of the original design, please let me know.

Oddly enough, I go by Garrett P. since I used to do chiptuning for UPsolute and people would call me thinking I was the real Garrett lol

Post up a pic if you build one.
