Correct me if i'm wrong but it seems people including me get confused when they see the terms Super 60 VNT and the T-28 VNT used seperatley in the same sentence. I always thought these were two diff types of turbos. The following is the description of the Super 60 VNT from Forperformance.com, I ordered one of these from them btw. Not here yet.

This upgrade is a direct boltin for the T2 equipped 90-91 VNT turbo applications. The turbine section of the VNT turbo is matched to a larger 500cfm T28 compressor wheel and equipped with the 360 degree severe duty thrust bearing system for added durability at high boost pressure. The pictures below show the factory compressor wheel dwarfed in the modified compressor housing and also the complete Super 60 T2 VNT unit

That has to be a Super60 and not the VNT28...
The turbo is missing the 2 nipples on the side of the compressor.
I believe that the Super60 setup is just like the T-2 except w/o the vane control with the actuator can like the VNT. There is a converstion of somesort about jumping the VNT solenoids, etc. that can be found somewhere in this section or under electronics.

Call CINDY at FWD since she sells teh VNT-Super60 setup and probably the tubo as well, and can tell you what the application would need.

No, it is a VNT. The shop requires a VNT turbo core for modifications.

Hmmm..interesting....

Wonder if they can drill the compresser nipples in and just throw the actuator can on and it would work w/o a grainger setup?

You are looking at a picture of it. I bought it 3 years ago, but I decided to go with a S-60. So its just sitting in the garage.
