I was thinking of getting a smooth hose kit w/ k&n for the csx. Has anyone done this and how much does it improve versus putting one on a t2? Does it make it overboost? Any pics?

That is all hype. Yes, technically it will help, but the results are so minimal it isn't worth it. Some people used to claim 3 tenths in the 1/4 years back... but it has proven to be hogwash over time.

You`re referring to just the vnt on this aren`t you? It did help a lot of my t2 but I`m quessing it wouldn`t help as much on the vnt plus I`m trying to keep as much stock as possible. Travis

The VNT cars come with the smooth hose from the factory... so no gain there. The 12 second Omni from Hell (Dave Zelkowski) had big claims years ago from swapping the upper hose to a smooth one, but after seeing alot of people on the SDML following suit, their results weren't noticeable. Maybe it's more evident on a 300hp engine, than one making 200.
