I just picked up a Lebaron VNT for $30 Whats it worth?? White with grey leather, typical rips in front seats, lace wheels, 5 speed, runs good.Header panel cracked, straight body. May fix it up but probably gonna use it for parts.

Well it's certainly worth more than $30! If it's got a good title and no rust, you should run that thing. It's got the 2.2 CB with balance shafts, it should have the 586 (assuming it's a stick) and of course the vnt setup....plus it's got the good lebaron interior.

When i had mine, with a fwdperformance stage 2 sbec, it was a rocket. Probably a high 13 second car with no lag.

You need to let us what all is wrong with it. Does it run? Can you actually get it to move under its own power?

Runs and drives good, timing belt is jumped but thats no biggie. Its got no title right now but I own and auto shop and can file for the title pretty easy. If we don't take it apart and make a VNT GLH or something We will clean it up and sell it.

I don't know how many were made, but they're so rare I've heard LeBaron VNT's called "rumors." Restore it and preserve the legacy of oddball Dodge/Chryslers!

When I had one (a red hard top) I tried to find out how many were built. I never found out for sure but I think the total was around 250 vnt Lebarons.

The total count of Lebaron VNT cars built were 255. 123 were the hardtop cars and 132 were optioned with the convertible top. Most of the verts were sold to companies for executive cars, which we all know do not survive well. If you need anymore info I can try to dig up a link I have someplace for the datasheets.

I found a VNT Lebaron hard top at a local buy here pay here. I was excited until I looked underneath the car and saw all the rust. They wanted $1800 for it and I laughed. If anyone is interested I can found out more about the car. It is located in Chillicothe, OH.

Buy here, die here lots can be real senseless at times. My car is solid as a rock and cost me no where near that much. If they do like most and it does not sell, be sure to keep your eye on the localgood sized auctions. Maybe you can pick it up cheaper. Even rusted out it would still have some nice usable parts.
