No 1/4 mile times, but a few trips to the 1/8th mile.

100% stock, it ran 9.9 on a 2.4 60ft (60ft not too good) at a tad over 71mph. This would be a 15.3 at 89-90 mph in the 1/4.

Year later with 14 psi cal, no cat and super turd-o muffler (bad choice at the time) FM ported exhaust manifold, ported head by me (mild) the car ran 9.5 at 76mph on a 2.30 60ft with the clutch slipping a tad on the 2-3 shifts. (about a 14.6 and 95mph in the 1/4)

Since then, I have removed the balance shafts and a couple small things. Car would probably trap 1-2 more mph now.

I think with a different cam ('88 TBI), better exhaust like on my other car, and a couple VNT tuning adjustments, high 90's (in the 1/4) is possible while still on the 2-bar cal and 14-15psi. I'm just too lazy and content with it the way it is right now to be playing for more HP out of the stock original shortblock with 154,000 hard miles.

Not an origional car, but I had a VNT on my 2.5l for a while. Ran a 9.12 @ 74.9mph on a 1.98 60 ft. Was at 18psi.
