Might be an idea to double check your turbo oil lines just in case you have some getting out.

check on the srtforums.com website for the same problem, they are using a mini air filter for air compressors to trap the oil from the VC to the airbox. I have 1 on my GLHS and it works fine. I got mine at Home Depot for about $14.

I ordered the original pcv elbow because the pcv sits alot closer to the T then the old one I was using. The pcv opening actually sits inbetween the intersection of the T allowing it to suck most of the crap.Still waiting for it though because the old one has split.

I just ran 2 hoses from the pcv and valve cover breather down underneath my intercooler hosing and attached my T there with the PCV and ran a short line to my airbox. Much more convenient, and with a single tie wrap or piece of string, it puts a lot less stress on the T, and it's much easier to work with and monitor.

If you're having a lot of trouble with the filtering, try ordering a crankcase breather. They're anywhere from 1.00 for a cheap fram unit to about 25 for a good K&N or Moroso with a chrome cover and cone shape. Run your line to that instead of the airbox.

Thats what I would prefer to do whorse, but I wasn't sure if I could do that to the vnt airbox.I guess to just plug it off after.Do you think I could run the other breather hose that T's off the turbo oil return line to this crankcase breather as well??

If you look on the stock VNT airbox (if it's in the stock location), on the left side there's a spot where the PCV line runs to. You can put it there again, or if you use a breather, just put that after the PCV valve on the T in a convenient spot. The only point of the filter is because under idle and low RPMs when there's vacuum, some air will get sucked through it (like a BOV), so it needs a filter.

I'll post a picture of how I did it next post when I get them online.

thanks,I think I will run a seperate breather like you said because I cleaned my intercooler yesterday and today I'm still getting a puff of smoke.I opened the airbox and it was saturated with oil again. You can clearly see where the oil runs down from that little compartment and goes all the way to the right side of the filter and pools up.then the turbo sucks it up and runs it through.Iwill look for a crankcase breather today as I don't want to clean the IC again. Some pics would be cool, thanks.

p.s. Can I run the breather line that splices into the turbos oil return line to a seperate breather as well??It originally goes to the same little compartment as the pcv hose does.

Here's how I did mine. This is pulled up a bit, by my battery, just to show where it is.

You can run multiple lines to your breather if you have multiple sources that need them. Once I get my wiring for my radio done, I'm going to do just that, for all my solenoids because their vacuum filters are gone.

wouldent your oil problem in air filter box be because of too much blowby on motor and is just too much pressure in crankcase all comming out valvecover into your air box?????
i think i have simular problem

No more oil in the airbox thanks to the k&n crankcase filter.Still getting smoke between shifts.Must be the rings because if it was the turbo it would smoke all the time right??

Glad the crankcase breather worked for you. How did you run your setup? Pics?

I removed the old hose going to the airbox and put a short hose off the pcv T with a 5/8 elbow and another short 90 degree hose with the filter on top.It clears the throttle linkage well plus the filter sits upright. The bottom of the hose by the elbow fills with oil a little but the filter stays clean so no big deal.So far so good thanks
