vnt's were only 2.2's. about 250 GTC vnt's were built. (1990 only - 3 months production).

I have a 2.5 with a VNT. I'm in the final stages of bolting it all together. All that's needed is for me to put on the drivers axle and bolt back on the radiator, alternator, and intercooler. It's a 2.5l with a TEC S60 VNT, 2.5" exhaust, (TBI header to be added later), A-568 trans with Phantom Grip, FWDP 2.2 S3 cal, +20 injectors, adjustable fpr, alcohol injection, Poly Bushings mounts all around, yada-yada. I had to drop in the 2.5 as my 2.2 is getting built up with my Steve Menegon head. This should be torque heaven! I'll try to get it dyno'd before I blow it up! LOL I'm working for about 220hp/250tq.

Exactly. BUT if I wanted, I could put the SM head on there and that would free up some flow up top. And this is on my daily driver as well, I just need it to go to and from work (beating up on unsuspecting victims as well) . What will also help with spool time is I have a Fidanza aluminum fly wheel on it too.

GLHNSLHT2. You ever come up this way? Are there any tracks near you that you go to?

Well, the cal is set for 16-18, something like that. BUT with the S60 VNT, I should be at a higher hp level at 14psi than a reg. VNT would be. A maxed out VNT can go up to around 220-230hp before it's done so I should be higher than that. So okay, you caught me being modest! LOL But I don't want to assume where I'll be at until I can get it all tuned. The alcohol is a precaution because of the 2.5's ability to not like timing advance.
