Variable Nozzle Turbine (or Turbo, not 100% sure) Im not that big into the VNTs but this is what I understand. The VNT engine which is known as a TIV, only came in some Shelby CSXs and a few Lebarons between 89 and 90, some one correct me if Im wrong. Pretty neat turbos that provide almost no turbo lag, just not very well flowing and arnt good for boost past 18 psi.

They also came on Competition Shadows as well as Daytonas. If you ever drive one you'll be able to tell the difference immediately but as itoktoeatfish said, they are no very well flowing. They are actually made for a smaller displacement engine, like say a 1.6-1.8 liter engine. But I have a S60 one on my GLH, and I can tell you it has the responsiveness of a regular VNT, but more powerful than a reg. T2 turbo. I won't say it's the same as a regular S60, but not far behind. I ran mine up to 18psi and it's just plane sick! LOL
