I've asked before and I'll ask again, does anyone have a S60 VNT they would part with or know where I could find one?

This isn't definite yet, but I 'may' be parting with mine, just depends on how fast my next project goes. If I do I'll list it here. BTW, I have a VNT28 if you're interested.

It was new when I put it on (that's how I bought it). No shaft play or nothing. The other day I took her up to 20+ psi to see what she could do. Well, let's say I'm lucky I was holding the steering wheel tightly as I shot off like a bat out of hell! LOL

I think I'll hold out for a S60, I dont think that the VNT28 will give me the power I'm looking to achieve in time.

Man I wouldn't mind one either but I'll get what I can. Either the S60 or the VNT28. I just want to up the power on my '89 CSX. I was even thinking about buying a used S60 compressor housing and a used VNT25 exhaust housing and send it somewhere so they can balance it or something but it's easier said than done. I heard that a new S60VNT is like $1200. That's alot! Keep me posted.

i'll bid on that s60 too But i'm sure a T28 would be a much improvment as well.Alot safer for the higher boost levels. How much do you think you would sell your S60 for will, and how many lbs boostd do you run on it?

The T28 would run well on a car too. I've personally driven a 'heavy' (compared to my GLH) Daytona with a nicely done up motor with stock intercooler and a VNT 28 on it. The car freakin' flew! I only went up to 4th gear, but I was impressed.

Now it's an unfair comparison with my car because I have the S60, as well as a 2.5 and about a 600lb weight advantage. Now boost isn't controlled properly to take advantage of the S60. I was gonna get a cal from TU but they're not doing them now! So I'm forced to use a FWDP S3 2.2 VNT that advances the timing way too much for the 2.5. I'm afraid to bump it up high for long on there, although I usually add a lot of fuel to help out. Now I have on there a MP 2.5 T1 computer, only because it can give me better timing. The turbo doesn't respond as quickly and I'm gonna change back to the S3 VNT cal and ad a manual boost controller on it. I've had it pegged at 20lbs+ and the A/F meter showed full rich (I had the fuel bumped up). EGT's were at around 1,450-1,500 and it was pulling HARD. I'm sure if I had the proper cal, along with my SM ported head and TBI header, I'd be pushing the 250hp mark, although I'd have to get it dyno'd to really see what I'm making.

Now that I've pretty much "finished" my GLH project, it's time for me to move on to complete my Rampage. Now this beast will have all the goodies in it, as well as a 16V done up SRT4 motor. I was also gonna build a killer 2.5 motor AND a 2.2 motor and have them on "stand-by" just in case my plans change. That's why I was just thinking of dumping the VNT project, because I'm done with it. Oh well, I'll keep everyone posted on my intentions. Sorry for the VNT novel. LOL

About the VNT28, are the bearings thrust plates and seals all heavy duty?? I want to be able to run it with a 3bar map and +40 injectors and maybe a TU cal with about 18-20psi. What do you think?

That would work since it's almost the same setup I have on my car now, minus the +40's (I am running +20's). Not sure you need that much fuel...but I would recommend an adj. fpr.
